The cabin was nice & spacious enough for our crew. I couldn't get one A/C unit on. Noticed all window units showed filters needed cleaned. These filters were full of dust. I cleaned them, it was late when we arrived, & didn't want to bother the couple since office was closed. The husband, we enjoyed visiting with the next morning & the river area is awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed going to the river each morning & evening. There is a bug problem, not sure if it was due to the time of the year or just the area but we killed 4 centipedes and 2 large beetle bugs in the cabin. I asked for extra towels due to only 4 towels for a 12 person cabin for 4 days. That seemed to be a problem, that I needed more towels. I was informed that my booking on Hotels.com was for only 4 people. My hotels.com always states 4 people so that my husband & I get large places to stay. My son & his 2 young daughters stayed with us also & my youngest son & wife showed up for a Saturday night stay. I thought nothing of this since it was a 12 person cabin. The Wife owner did not like that I had more than 4 people in the 12 person cabin, informed me she would be charging me for additional people. The booking was already paid for so that didn't happen. But please be aware even though it states Pet Friendly in the hotels.com info there is a $15 per night per dog fee. The owners have since sent me a dog invoice since we have left. Sliding Doors don't lock. Enjoyed but lots of issues.
The property sets on a beautiful section of the Ouachita river and is very quiet and peaceful. Owners very nice and hospitable. Loved the place.

Cozy cabin
Great place for a weekend getaway. We met up with family, barbecued, crystal hunted, and played in the river.

This place was one of the best places we ever stayed in a cabin. Everything about the place was a great outdoor experience. The Crystal mines around were fun. We will be back!
The cabin was nice but there's several issues. One shower has no water pressure. One of the double beds mattress was really uncomfortable to sleep on and the bed frames squeaks really badly. All water facets will have mold if they don't fix gap issues around them.

Ouachita River
Casey and Amanda are awesome! They attended to our needs and treated us like family. Beautiful quiet cabin, perfect for getting away from the city and reconnecting with nature. You can see and hear the Ouachita river from the back deck. Definitely coming back again.
