It was clean, and the amenities were extra: dishes, two burner cooktop, cutlery, a kettle, toaster, you could easily fend for yourself for meals here if you wanted - and there is a grocery store just two blocks away.
Also, it is on a rare quiet street and yet so close to a lot. The windows open to let in the Parisian air. The Eiffel tower really is so close, and you get the views walking along the street like a real Parisian before landing in the midst of all the tourist crowds.
The bathroom is very functional and hot water is hot.
If the stairs are a concern, write to them first and ask if they have a unit on the first floor. The rooms with numbers are the ones in the front, the letters indicate the rear. The stairwell in the front is wider so more convenient for bringing luggage in. I had an issue with a sprained foot, and asked to switch, and since they had a vacancy lower down, they did so quickly and smoothly. I was very grateful and my foot was able to heal much more quickly.
Oh and yes, the extra of laundry, luggage lockers and toilet are not to be overlooked. Very friendly superintendent also on the premises. They have it covered and are responsive, and friendly. Grateful!
