I had a wonderful stay at The Sands in Panama City. The apartment was comfortable and well maintained, and the views were beautiful. It was a lovely place to relax and enjoy my time in Panama. I would gladly stay here again!

Gran lugar para hospedarse. Viajé por trabajo y todo era como el anuncio. El lugar es seguro, muy cómodo, excelente vista, clima/minisplit funcionando, baño limpio, cocina funcional. Buena ubicación. Sólo batallé un poco porque en la caseta de seguridad solicitan un código para ingresar que sólo lo comparte el anfitrión (hasta ahí todo bien), pero estuve afuera en el sol y el calor esperando un par de horas a que el anfitrión me enviara el código y el chat de Expedia era el único medio, no cargaba la conversación, no había Wifi. Esa espera fue agotante para iniciar el viaje pero una vez realizado el check-in fue ¡una GRAN experiencia! Comunicación directa por WhatsApp, rápida, atentos en todo. Gracias, volvería sin duda.

Other than the check-in process, the stay was good. Apartment was clean and adequate, swimming pool on the premises was really nice. Walking distance to nice areas. The apartment I got was nice, clean and in a good location. The building felt safe and you had to have a fob to enter and use the elevator which made me feel secure. The security was nice and helpful and there was a corner store next to it which came in handy. Ocean view was the way to go. There is a restaurant on the top floor with activities such as ziplining. The only downside was that the pool was under construction until September 15th. Besides that amazing stay and the host was very helpful. Would definitely return.

Extremely Disappointing Stay — Nothing Like the Advertisement I am extremely disappointed with my stay. The apartment was in very poor condition, with cheap materials, visible deterioration, and an overall appearance that was nothing like the property shown in the advertisement. The difference between the photos and the actual apartment was very disappointing. The pool was also out of service during our stay, yet we were given no advance notice whatsoever. The pool was one of the main reasons I chose this property, so arriving and discovering that this advertised amenity was unavailable was extremely frustrating. Had I known beforehand, I would have seriously reconsidered booking this property. The laundry situation was another major issue. The property advertises a washer and dryer, but after completing my laundry, I discovered that the dryer did not work. This meant I was left with a load of wet clothes and no functioning dryer. What makes this even more frustrating is that I had specifically requested liquid laundry detergent, which was never provided, so I had to spend my own money to purchase detergent. It makes absolutely no sense to advertise a washer and dryer as an amenity, fail to provide the requested laundry detergent, and then have a dryer that doesn’t even work. These are basic amenities that should be properly maintained and available to guests. At the very least, guests should be informed before arrival if an advertised appliance or amenity is unavailable.

The host was very nice and very helpful. We were able to do early check in. Also a very unfortunate incident happened and the host made sure I was fine and sent someone over immediately to assist with the situation. I will definitely go back and stay. I recommend this location a 10/10. Also it was close to a look great locations.

Neighbourhood is quite sketchy, but the building is alright. The pool was great, but only receives morning sun. The noise from traffic (even on the 35th floor) and a zip-line and clubs on the rooftop were not so appreciated. The check-in was horrible as the rental agency did not complete the registration with the property management. I had to wait about 2 hours to have this resolved, but they acted quickly when they finally responded

They canceled on my 4 hours before my arrival in Panama..I was stuck paying for another hotel last minute. I have yet to receive my refund. The manager / owner of the property was very unprofessional and cruel to do that to a solo female Traveller in a country by herself for the first time..they didnt even offer to help to get another place to stay. My flight arrive 7pm at night and that when I knew the booked apartment that was paid for was canceled by them because the over booked.. not because of nothing I did. So very disappointed I gave yet to receive my money back which was promised to me..

Excellent location, Great rooftop restaurant, bar and entertainment/activities. Walking distance to public exercise facilities, a seafood market, local cuisine. The bus and metro station is also walking distance behind the property.

La propiedad es tal cual las fotos, tiene muy buena ubicación y el departamento tiene una vista hermosa, solo recomiendo prepararse con agua . Ya que no es 24hrs el comercio de abajo. Mi comunicación con el anfitrión fue buena y no tuve ningún tema para hacer check inn.

El apartamento muy bello, con lo básico, excelente ubicación. La comunicación con el anfitrión muy eficiente, la cama se dañó y la respuesta en la reparación fue oportuna; sin embargo, se recomienda cambio de la cama, no reparación ya que no era cómoda. Pero contaba con sofá cama que nos salvó. Igualmente se recomienda si o si tener acceso a internet, ya que yo intenté coordinar el día antes para al llegar tener claro lo del ingreso, pero se indica que se da las instrucciones el mismo día, horas antes de la entrada, pero aunque el apartamento tiene internet, el edificio como tal no comparte, lo que fue angustiante al Inicio, al no tener las indicaciones de ingreso y sin internet. Pero en general, una muy buena opción.
