Nice hotel but...

They need better instructions on the location. This suite is located within The Riviera of Atitlan hotel and it's confusing trying to find the location. The phone number provided is not available on the weekends. They need a number 24/7. Finally, we didn't get room service at all. At least one day it would have been great to get clean towels.

The apartment that we booked was not affiliated with the hotel. So when we found that there was a plumbing problem and that the apartment needed cleaning, maintenance with the hotel was unable to help us. We had to contact the person we made the reservation through. She was to contact the person responsible for cleaning but this was not to take place until the following day. Horrible smell, bad plumbing and filth; and we were told to wait until the following day. Needless to say, we did not stay at the property.

Check in a Las 2pm la energía eléctrica se fue a las 4pm y no regreso hasta la hora del checkout el dia siguiente, no había papel higiénico y tuvimos que salir a comprar papel y linternas para pasar la noche, las velas no faltaron y por lo mismo no se.pudo usar la cocina porque todo era eléctrico, el Internet estaba suspendido cuando llegamos y tuvimos sólo 2 horas para disfrutar de todo el lugar, el jacuzzi igual no funcionó hasta el checkout y ya nos teníamos que retirar, Quisiera mi devolución o que programen otra noche de compensación porque la verdad pague por algo que no funcionó, el hoyel tenia generador para área del hotel pero no de apartamento y si pague para tener algo que no obtuve. Saludos y espero respuesta, JM

3rd PARTY AGENT SCAM - Hotel Manager had no record of our reservation. I confirmed the reservation as requested (24 hrs ahead of arrival along with their confirmation code). They would not provide a room; citing it was a 3rd party agent foul up, instead they threw us out... We love Expedia & have never experienced such poor behavior of the staff & management. They would not give me a refund so I have to put a claim with my credit card. Getting teeth pulled would be a more pleasurable experience.

La habitación no cuenta con todos los servicios del hotel porque es un apartamento privado. El restaurante del hotel es malo para el precio que cobran, recomendamos comer fuera. El apartamento tiene todas las comodidades necesarias.

Very clean, lots of space, UGLY building

We were told we needed to contact the hotel in advance for details on how to access the apartment. It was an apartment/condo that was being rented, not a hotel room. We called and called - no answer. There was no email to send a message to. We finally ended up using Facebook messenger to contact them. The condo contained NO information on accessing wifi, getting filtered water, getting rides into town, who to call in case of an issue, etc. Thankfully the gentlemen at the security stand were willing to help us arrange a ride into town for dinner. Also, the building is La Riviera de Atitlan. Do not look for Luxury Villas Atitlan, there is no establishment with that signage. The condo itself was extremely clean, had a lot of space and absolutely breathtaking views. The building is ugly and sticks out like a sore thumb. This is a tough one for me to recommend because of the difficulty with verifying our room ahead of time and the building facade.

Reservation agents the worst

Called as specified on my reservation, that number does not correspond to the reservations department. Had to call more than three times to get the check in information...they gave me apartment 101...then on check in day they changed it to 705...internet service did not work. The view at the hotel is beautiful but people in charge (reservations) has no knowledge of customer service at all.
