「We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. 」

「The staff were all exceptionally friendly and very helpful…. We went ‘off piste’ re the breakfast menu and this was not only accommodated with ease, but wonderfully cooked too. Bravo the chef 😘. The bed was comfy and spacious. The showers, hot and powerful. The only downside was that the room was slightly chilly and the plug in radiator did not work enough to warm it up….. The standard of cleanliness could have been better, but maybe that is determined by the age of the property….. We stayed 2...

「Place was closed and locked when we arrived. Had to call sister accommodation to try and open it up. First night we were the only people in the place. Stayed two nights. I never saw a single member of staff the whole time」

「The bed was firm & comfortable, and the shower was good and hot. There was a good selection at breakfast - nice breads, well-cooked hot food, and a reasonable range of healthy options. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downsides were noise related: the bedroom windows could have done with another layer of glazing as there was quite a lot of activity going on outside at times overnight - luckily I had earplugs - and the music was really far too loud...
