The room was spacious, well-appointed and spotless and the house was quiet. Breakfast, while not spectacular, offered a good variety of choices, e.g., eggs and bacon, potatoes, parfait and cinnamon rolls. The host kindly made the room available early (although we were busy sightseeing around Paducah); however we became a little confused in getting to our room, perhaps due to the quilt convention activities which were winding up.

This was such a pleasant stay at Respite! We felt safe and comfortable- the room was beautiful and clean. The hostess was friendly and available. The artsy downtown area along the river was close by.

If you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay this is it. We just got married and wanted a home type atmosphere to relax and enjoy our time away together. This was it! I highly recommend.

An excellent B&B with outstanding guest service. The room was large and comfortable with a strong shower and jetted tub. We were able to park right in front of the building, and there's a secure code to get you in the building and then into your room. Shelley made excellent breakfast and communicated so well about when it'd be ready in the morning. We were down for the eclipse and it was nice chatting with the other guests in the small stay at the same time.

This was a beautiful and cared for building in downtown Paducah. The atmosphere really did provide a place of "respite". I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed just one night on our long journey home from our winter getaway. We loved our very roomy room. The beds and linens top notch! Slept great! The owner wasn’t in town to prepare us breakfast in the morning but left us vouchers to be used at one of the diners in town. They covered the bases. I would definitely stay again.

The Respite is an unexpected treat from the moment you walk into the front door. It’s inviting, relaxing, elegant, and very clean. I made my reservation last minute and I am super thankful to have found this gem. I would choose this place over and over again.

The Respite is wonderful! Spacious room with 2 very comfortable Queen beds, fluffy towels, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. If you are going to stay in Paducah, don’t miss it!

Thank you so much for an enjoyable relaxing night in your beautiful bed and breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable with its own separate dressing area for the suitcases and had all the necessary amenities…the breakfast was delicious and fresh and the company delightful!

Night out in Paducah
Check in was very simple. Everyone was polite and accommodating. The room and house as a whole were super clean. Had a great morning conversation with other guests at the breakfast table. Pricing is comparable to a hotel stay, but this is a much better experience and it is walking distance from the best downtown restaurants and hangout spots. Highly recommend!!

My wife and I were staying here for our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. The room was spacious and tastefully furnished and everything was exactly as advertised. You won’t find a more pleasant inn experience than The Respite!

Highly recommend! Easy texting check-in! Absolutely beautiful place! Incredibly clean & fantastic decorating! Easy safe street parking! Felt at home! Booking with Expedia included 2 delicious hot quiche breakfast with danishes, flavored coffee assortment, OJ, yogurts, granola bars. We were extremely satisfied!

Such a beautiful B&B and walking distance from downtown Paducah! We got the suite with a jetted tub and it was the most relaxed we’ve been in a while!! Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing, quiet getaway.

Quiet and Convenient
Enjoyed staying here. No-contact check-in instructions were easy. Bed was firm which I appreciated very much. Parking was on the street but it’s a quiet neighborhood, so that was no problem. Drove a couple blocks away to a pizza place which was amazing. The B&B is also part banquet hall and there was an ROTC military ball there the night we stayed. My 9-yr old daughter really enjoyed seeing the students dressed up and dancing as we were coming and going from dinner.

Kentucky charmer!
Peaceful, clean, gorgeous B&B easy walk to downtown quilt museum area. Second time staying there in 3 months. We couldn't stay for breakfast due to inpending storms but vouchers are issued to be used in Kirchners or Gold Rush bakery/ deli. Oozes Kentucky charm.
