It did the job
it was one of the cheaper hotels, although for what was offered a cheaper price would have gotten this hotel a better rating - only because you expect a low budget hotel for that price. the owners really need to put money back into the hotel. the staff was very friendly and very kind. the location was great for where we needed to go. there are restaurants near by and it's near a train station and the freeway. bed was ok. the carpet flooring....I just hope it gets cleaned regularly.

The room had an odor and the pillows had stains. The shower had low pressure. Cigarette burns on the microwave. Shower curtain had stale water stains.

Pleasantly surprised
I was surprised by this stay, it was much nicer than I thought it would be. The room appeared to have been recently remodeled, furniture was nice and classy. The staff was very nice, I was only there one night but I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

The room was set up in a strange way. The toilet was in a small room with a door to it, but the shower and sink were in the sleeping area. The wall wasn't in great condition and definitely needs to be mended in some areas and re-painted. The shower/tub was nice, but it was weird that it was only a couple feet from the bed without any barrier other than the curtain. The TV had a really big screen, but there weren't many options for channels. The room overall felt unclean and uncomfortable, and definitely not worth how much they charged for it.

i stayed in room 17 overnight for a wedding. overall our stay was a pleasant one. however the shower head was an issue. the water was spilling over the tub as the shower head was running.its not a fancy place but it does the job. good bed. Tv.close to other businesses.

It's OK....
If you are just trying to camp out for the night, it should be OK.there was a little graffiti on the bathroom door and I found two pieces of trash under the bed in the morning... They did upgrade their TV and ceiling fans so I guess they are in the process of renovating slowly but surely.

Cheapest is never good enough
Only stay here if it is absolutely your last resort. The only plus is that the rooms are remodeled and the bathroom tile is very nice for this type of establishment.

Super rundown not clean at all. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The sheets were dirty in the bed. During my three day stay they gave me no new towels and no room service. The carpet and beds were dirty and garbage under the bed. The towels were even stained nasty. This place should get shut down by the health department.

the bed spreads had holes, there was only 1 of 3 light bulbs working. no phone, only one lock on the door. pillows too small, no coffee. for the price we paid , i would expect all the above to be excellent

Great value/Okay area
Great value for the rate includes a small fridge and micro and a decent TV. The area is not for the faint at heart. But it worked fine on the way to Santa Barbara!

Flamingo a pleasant surprise.
I needed a room for the night. hotel offered a no frills quiet stay. nice TV with lots of stations. Only negative is proximity to AMTRAK.

We ended not staying at this hotel. The location was a mess, the hotel was dirty and overgrown. Had to talk to the manager through a bullet proof glass window. He said to check in at 3:00 p.m. we didn't come back at 3:00 p.m. Don't go here. As I said "it's a mess". I checked social media after the fact, everyone else felt the same about this hotel. I'll listen to social media a little closely in the future when booking a location.

Night manager didn't bother to ask about my reservation. He tried to charge me my reservation price, when I already paid a lower price he stated the night before. So this motel really changes prices a lot and doesn't allow visitors.

We arrived to check in, saw the condition of the place, left. Didn't stay one night. This Hotel looks beyond VERY dirty. Neighborhood felt unsafe. High traffic street right next to hotel. You begin to wonder when you need to talk to the hotel clerk through a bullet proof glass window! Hotels.com (Expedia) please take this location off your data base, you will be doing us Hotels.com members a HUGE favor. I should have checked the reviews on Yelp when I booked this joint, everyone panned this place !! I will check Yelp for reviews when I book again through Hotels.com.

Rude and not what we Booked
We (as in a romantic couple) booked a King sized bed for a last minute Valentine's Day night stay at this hotel, which was only chosen because there were no other ones available anywhere near where we wanted to stay. Still, we aren't picky so figured it'd be just fine. However, when we showed up, the front desk clerk initially confirmed that we had reserved a King sized bed but then when he handed us the key he told us there was no longer a King sized bed and he wouldn't charge us extra for two double beds. Now, no one else had checked in while we were checking in so who knows where the King sized bed all of a sudden went and as a couple on Vday that don't fit comfortably on a double bed, it was not what we were hoping for. However, we attempted to make do in an below average motel room but neither of us slept well and despite there being a bathtub in the room were unable to use it due to there not being a plug for it. Then, the next morning we were woken up to the front desk clerk telling us it was time to check out after not having given us any motel information the night before (including checkout time). When he was politely informed that we would need an additional hour due to our lack of sleep from the night before he continued to call back periodically until we checked out. Definitely would not recommend this place even if on a budget. There must be better spots at a similar rate.

A Night of My Road Trip
The hotel was quiet & clean, and is operated by a live-in family. The man at the desk kindly told me that they offer a 30-minute extension on check-out. Since I arrived late, I decided to extend my stay a night; but was unable to reach the front desk by phone. The next day when I talked to the wife about extending my stay, she said I'd have to return to the office in order to do it, which wouldn't have been a problem had I been properly attired. She loudly said that I had five minutes to do it. Needless to say, I quickly prepared myself and gathered my belongings. At the desk, the husband was there and wanted to know if I planned to extend. I declined since I was already up and out. See ya, Flamingo Oxnard!

Terrible el hispedaje totalmrnte negativo, nunca volveria a ese hotel, los dueños atiebden la recepcion y son totalmente agrios y sus costos son eccesivos el costo por habitacion sencilla es en sabado 120 dolares eso extremo caro y ahun pagabdo por medio de la aplucacion, el dueño no me acepto y nego mi estancia por no pagar la cantidad requerida de 120 dolares... Totalmente nunca recpmendaria este lugar
