"The DoubleTree itself was lovely — clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and the warm cookie at check-in never gets old. On those merits alone, it would be a five-star stay. However, I was deeply uncomfortable to discover that ICE agents are currently being housed at this property. I was visiting the JFK area to pick up my sister from an international flight, and learning that the hotel was serving as a base for federal immigration enforcement significantly affected my sense of ease and safety — as I know it would for many travelers, families, and guests of diverse backgrounds. At a time when immigration enforcement at JFK Airport is causing fear, long lines, and documented distress among travelers and their families, I believe hotel companies have a responsibility to consider the message their hosting choices send to the broader public. A hotel that caters to the traveling public should be mindful of all its guests, not just those in uniform. Other guests deserve to know before booking, and I would encourage the company to reconsider. I would happily return to this property — the hotel itself truly deserves five stars — but not until they stop housing ICE agents."

"Staff were very helpful and nice. Very understanding when i realized I forgot my physical debit and had somw difficulty figuring out how i was going to check in. However the hvac units in the rooms are old and hardly function. I was given another room because the hvav did not work at all but the hvac in the 2nd room was working but felt like it was on its last leg. Luckily it was only hot on the first night and the other nights were fine."

The room was clean, modern, and well maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also very convenient, especially if you’re exploring Flushing. There are plenty of great restaurants, shops, and transportation options nearby. I also appreciated how quiet and comfortable the hotel felt despite being in a busy area."
