"I went in August so before leaf people come to VT. It was a relaxing weekend, where I hiked, read a book, ate cider donuts, and enjoyed local beers. Breakfast was tasty. Would recommend you stay and enjoy the VT hospitality."

"What a jewel in northern Vermont! Phineas Swann Inn and Spa is in a beautiful, serene setting close to the Trout River. Our room was warmly decorated, extremely clean with a very comfortable bed and well-appointed bathroom. The quiet setting and dark drapes allowed us to sleep a little later before we enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Kasi. "Bud was very hospitable and overall great! Externally, very aesthetic and inviting. The interior can definitely use some TLC, but it really also depends on your expectations. It’s a country house so don’t expect anything lavish or over the top. Another reviewer wrote that it’s like staying at grandma’s. Couldn’t agree more. If you like trendy and fancy, this is not the place. If you like rustic, quiet and low key- this will do the job. We enjoyed our stay. "
