I recently stayed at the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista in Orlando and, unfortunately, my experience was mixed.
The Good:
The best part of this hotel is definitely the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. From the front desk to housekeeping, the team genuinely seemed to care about guest satisfaction, which I appreciated.
The Not So Good:
Where this property falls short is in several key areas that impacted the overall experience:
Dining Options: The on-site dining was disappointing, with limited food choices and inconsistent or incorrect information about restaurant operating hours. On more than one occasion, I went to dine based on the posted or advertised hours, only to find the restaurant closed or offering a very restricted menu.
Room Condition: The rooms are tired and in need of renovation. Furniture and fixtures are dated, and the overall feel is more worn than what you’d expect from a Sheraton-branded property.
Cleanliness: This was the most concerning part. I encountered multiple cleanliness issues in my room—hairs in the bathroom, debris on the floor, and a general sense that the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned before my arrival. It definitely detracted from what should have been a more relaxing stay.
Final Thoughts:
While the staff were great and the location is convenient for visiting Disney and other Orlando attractions, the hotel really needs improvement in terms of cleanliness, room updates, and dining service.
