Find a better option. This place was understaffed. Our room was dirty when we checked in. There is only one restaurant on site and it is terrible. The kids had fun at the pool but there was only one person watching the entire pool.

Best Western Carlsbad by the Sea
Outstanding staff and communication. Location was just a few miles from the beach and other attractions. Bed was comfy and shower had amazing water pressure. Breakfast was great with lots of different choices and I felt very safe there traveling alone. I will return the next time I am in Carlsbad. ...

The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa, Part of Destination Hotel by Hyatt
Love that this hotel is dog-friendly, just wish pets were also allowed around the property- at the restaurants and pool. Otherwise it is a great hotel with great amenities and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
