It was very affordable. The room did smell kind of musty, but for the price wasn’t bad at all. This is my first time staying there and I loved it.

The first room I was in was great. Clean, ocean front with balcony. Wonderful. I paid for that room in full. I had to change rooms because my First room was an added day. That was on me. No problem. The downfall started with my then 5 night stay. I booked my added room with the motel directly. When I spoke with the gentleman, he matched the same room I booked with Expedia. Again oceanfront. Make sure you know what you’re choosing. either ocean front or ocean view. Let me tell ya… Ocean view isn’t a view. it’s to look at the spinakkers (hotel next door) parking lot. The best. I was put in the second room by them because they overbooked my OCEAN FRONT room.WITHOUT INFORMING ME or making me aware. Yes there is a difference in price but I had to ask for a reimbursement. There were no accommodations. Wasn’t moved to what I paid for. Mind you this was booked in march or April…. Next.. my room was cleaned without asking one time. From there on I had to call more than once during the day to have someone come up and give me towels. And lastly. They have a crazy ant problem. I now found myself putting listerine in a spray bottle, terminating the ants because the person who was to come and exterminate them never did. Location of it is wonderful. And the people are genuinely nice. However, they really need to step their game up here. Absolutely unacceptable! I’m From the city. If I wanted to look at parked cars I can look outside my own window.

The hotel is very dated and not the cleanest. My first day, I took a shower and the shower was clogged. By the time I was done, I was standing in water up to my calf. I called the front desk and they sent someone to fix it promptly. The lightbulb beside the bed was burnt out. I was on the 3rd floor and had to carry all of my stuff up 3 flights of stairs because there’s no elevator. Other than those things, the stay was okay.

Room was clean with no problems, except cable tv was very fuzzy and pretty much unwatchable, but didn't spend much time in the room so not a big deal.

The door lock on the outdoor was broke , was told just lock it, I had kids , drain broke in the tub, mold all over the shower curtain place was disgusting. I stayed here for over 20 years with positive experience and this year was the worst . Receptionist said she will call somebody out never did went down spoke to the manager she left never spoke to anybody never told him he called somebody then took another 3 hours by that time was 8:00 at night didn't have dinner couldn't go anywhere because had to wait for the guy to fix the door. Left 1 day early because the place was a scumpit. Towels were dirty, I will never stay there again . If I could give it a negative I would.

The Sahara Motel was great, we had actual ocean view which was so relaxing, you really did'nt have to go anywhere because everything was right there, beach boardwalk, restaurant across the street. The rooms were clean updated for the most part & the greatest thing of all you had a remote to the A/C. I was'nt a fan of the parking, plenty of parking but tight spaces,maneuvering in & out. Also not a fan of having to ask for towels & washclothes, I think if I'm on vacation, & I'm paying a lot of money for this room, maid service should be included not requested, but that's just my opinion. But this by far was a great motel!

Great spot on the boardwalk for oceanfront units. Quick walk for other units. AC unit didn't seem to take humidity out of room but the cold setting worked. Everything was clean. No hooks at sink or bathroom to hang clothes or towels. Bed was moderately firm and comfortable.
