"ユーミン苗場コンサートの為に1泊素泊まりしました。口コミを読んでいたので覚悟して行きましたが、それほど悪くはありませんでした。吹雪の夜にプリンスホテルまで歩いて15分程でしたし、コンサート後の夜中1時までお風呂に入れました！湯船もお湯が出っ放しで綺麗でした。部屋のガスストーブも温かかったです。朝食に無料パンがあると口コミで見たのですが、ありませんでしたが、無料のコーヒーはあり美味しかったです。でも、部屋の壁が薄いようで隣の音が丸聞こえで、夜中の隣りの部屋の咳が気になり眠れませんでした…。あと、掛け布団のカバーが代えてないようで長い髪の毛が付いていてゲンナリしました…。あと、歯ブラシとバスタオルしか無くて、浴衣と手拭いも欲しかったです。"

"The staff didn't give accurate information - all the staff were Chinese so both English and Japanese language was not clear. There are 2 separate buildings. It's a very steep hill to the hotel, so it was very tiring to walk carrying luggage. The bath was not available at the time that we stayed. The toilets are small. But the room was clean, comfortable, and warm. The showers were also hot, but the water pressure was a bit weak. There are better places to stay in this area."

"This was by far my greatest stay so far in japan. Amazing food, amazing building, amazing onsen! But westerners be wary, you will need to sacrifice some of your typical understanding of amenitys, theres no showers in the rooms, and very little english is spoken in this whole town. That being said i cant rate it less than 5 stars! If you come to this hotel, be prepared to eat (amazing) foods you never thought youd try, and immerse youself in the japanese culture. If you do not want to immerse yourself, this may not be the place for you."

Especially the half board menu where we experienced a hearty, well-balanced dining experience specializing in traditional Japanese food using local, fresh ingredients. "The room was really spacious with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was included but dinner we ate out as the hotel is large and they can't accommodate everybody. This was not a problem as there were so many restaurants in town. You do need to time the shuttle bus well though. Overall, a brilliant place to visit and really worth the money."
