「We stayed for 3 nights at the White Swan. We booked at 2 days notice, and got the last room available, so I wasn’t surprised that it was quite a smallish room, but very very clean and comfortable. Breakfast - the Northumbrian - was magnificent, setting us up for a full days walking with no room or need for lunch. Then in the evening, it was a village pub, with village pub prices, friendly staff and locals happy to talk, and really great food, again at very reasonably prices. We really enjoyed...

「The Dock was fabulous and exactly what I was hoping to achieve for a 1 night stay between my work days. I was gutted as I’d heard so much about the breakfast but I ended up being in such a rush so didn’t have time to have a full English but the lush lady behind the kitchen counter asked me if I wanted a sandwich making to take away. She made me a huge and the best tasting bacon sarnie with a latte to take away (proper fresh brewed coffee) she saved my bacon literally haha. As I didn’t eat again...
