Courteous staff, good value and a good breakfast. Location is convenient for centre of Morpeth. Parking available as well, which is necessary for us.
Decor is in need of refreshing and plumbing (including some showers) is far from perfect.
All in all, a good place for a one night stay, but not ideal for a longer stop.

Staff very friendly and breakfast was good. The pub is nice but the upstairs corridors are dark and need painting. The doors are filthy need a good clean . Our room was big and basic but the bathroom was awful took a while to get hot water and the shower was old and not good . Overall it was ok not fantastic
Nice place to be. Quaint little town outside Newcastle. Staff in hotel very friendly and accommodating.

Good location but rooms need updating
Great location and the bar/ restaurant area was nice and the food was good. While the rooms and corridors were clean everwhere upstairs is in need a serious update, shower barely ran, no internet in the rooms, traffic noise constantly which some decent glazing would minimise. Breakfast was only until 9.30 on weekends which is early but only until 8.30am on weekdays which means either no lie in or no breakfast!

In a good location, near park and castle and town center. Great breakfast included. But the heating doesn’t work during staying so a bit cold.

Slept and ate ok!
I thought this was excellent value for money. Some fittings in the bedroom (first floor) were aging but it was spacious and comfortable. Well lit and good desk and adequate tv.
Breakfast a good mixture of help yourself and being served at the table.
The staff were friendly, breakfast were good, the room that we stayed in needs updating, very old fashioned, paper peeling off, and hanging down. Lady on reception informed us the rooms are in the process of getting updated.
Easy parking, night porter and a good breakfast that was able to cater for my coeliac wife.
Unfortunatelly the shower was a dribble and unusable. Bath wasn't much better so we didn't wash.

The premises are dated and in urgent need of upgrade. We had two rooms, one smelt badly of dampness. The rooms were spacious and clean. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok, but the sausages were the cheapest of the cheap!
Outside of the premises is again in need of update. The building looks tired and neglected. However, there are plenty of parking spaces. It is centrally located and is in easy walking distance of all amenities.
Overall, I would describe it as, cheap and cheerful.
