"Great location, beautiful room, smooth check in, amazing staff. The pool and gym are great, the location is perfect a short walk to campus or Rockridge shopping and restaurants, a great bakery and amazing burger place right across the street. The only place I want to stay in the Bay Area, the only resort experience in Berkeley or SF. I will be back for sure. A perfect place for a romantic getaway with my partner!"

"My room was impeccably clean. The mattress, pillows, sheets and cover were of special upgraded quality. The staff was friendly. The only concern would be that the bar and restaurant have never reopened after covid. They make up for it with super coffees, teas, apples and delicious cookies. There is a nice restaurant next door. The price to stay is so reasonable."

"We had a great experience at the Portola Hotel & Spa! The staff was very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Edgar Santos from Engineering for coming to our room and fixing the Wi-Fi so my son could connect and play his gaming system. He was kind, professional, and made sure everything was working before he left. My son was so happy! I just wished the jets at the jacuzzi were It’s the little things and great customer service that make a hotel stay even better. We really appreciated Edgar going out of his way to help us. Thank you for making our stay more enjoyable we would definitely stay here again!"
