The property is nice and the staff was helpful. I do believe there should be a coffee shop on property and extra blankets in the room as the blankets provided were very thin.
Beautiful resort in a great location in Sonoma. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool and grounds were beautiful, and our room was lovely and roomy. We also really enjoyed the shuttle to the plaza!
Really enjoyed our stay at Fairmont Sonoma. The beds were extremely comfortable, water pressure was great, and the staff/service throughout the property were excellent. Rooms were slightly dated, but overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
It was such a beautiful property and gardens everywhere. Pool and spa were very special. The only downside was the spa food. Way overpriced and sadly didn’t even wanna finish it.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We loved our early check in but we went right to the spa with our day pass. The mineral water was great. We loved the live entertainment on Friday night.
The only issue we had was with the electric tea kettle in our room that was missing an electric cord ? The hotel is so customer oriented that they brought me tea to my room for free.
The hotel needs to put a little more attention on upkeep of the facilities. Our deluxe room in building 300 was perfect the bed was perfect and lots of room and clean.
We would definitely come back if only for the warm mineral water pools.
The Fairmont had comfortable rooms, nice amenities, and a shuttle to downtown Sonoma. Felt more dated but was clean and comfortable.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Charming. Well-located property. However, property is getting worn. If you want to charge 5 Star rates, then all should be spanking pristine. All the little promises from staff never met. No firewood for fireplace. Complimentary bottle of wine never received. Food Truck night event filled with "sorry, out of that." Joke. Other food bland. Not food truck flare. The hotel is out of touch.
Staff was great very helpful and the property was beautiful.

The facilities are older but the cleaniness and services all around the resort are still excellent. The friendliness to dogs just makes our weekend get away so much more complete. Thank you!
holiday inn trying to play dress up. The property is clean and looks good, amenities are nice. But this hotel is facing a lot of the problems that still plague the hospitality industry as a whole even almost seven years post pandemic: lack of staff. There is hardly anyone to ask questions of, line to check in was literally 30 people, for my one king bed room (lowest) that totaled over 900 dollars a night. No one to help you take your bag up the steps (how is this ada compliant?) it’s just that this is the service I’d expect from a holiday inn, not someplace I spent almost 1k on for a special night. Everything takes forever- check in, they literally told us they didn’t have enough menus and to “ask the woman napping at the pool!” “it’s okay, I let her know she needs to share her menu.” So they expected me to wake up someone sleeping outside in a chaise Lounge or just take her menu, then wait another 30 minutes for the 2 servers serving all guests to take order and then of course server thinks he can remember so doesn’t write it down (like a high end place) but forgets half the order. So I’ll call this place a holiday inn trying to play dress up. At least with middle of the road hotels I think to myself “I’m getting what I expected for the price I paid.” Here, I ended up feeling annoyed that I’m not getting th service I paid for.
I had a wonderful stay at the Mission Inn. The property is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well maintained, and full of charm. It was exactly the kind of place I was hoping to find.
The spa was one of the highlights of my stay. Rosa gave me the vegan wrap treatment, and it was wonderful. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel relaxing and restorative. I also had a Watsu session with Laura, which was absolutely incredible. Her skill, calm presence, and intuitive approach created one of the most peaceful experiences I've ever had.
The food was excellent, and every meal was thoughtfully prepared.
What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Everyone I encountered was authentic, genuinely friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. It's rare to find hospitality that feels so natural rather than scripted, and I felt truly welcome throughout my stay.
I left feeling rested, cared for, and already looking forward to returning.
Each time we stay at the Fairmont the service is impeccable! The rooms are clean and comfortable. We love the spa and the grounds. The restaurant is also fantastic. We will be back soon!
