「We had a lovely stay at the Cross Keys Hotel. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the staff, who were incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely kind throughout our stay. 「We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way North and were very happy that we picked this Inn. The room was quite basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and in line with the price point. We had an evening meal in the bar area which was very good with generous portions and we were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was nothing short of excellent with good quality ingredients, perfectly prepared.」

「A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks.」

「As soon as I walked into The George I was welcomed with friendly smiley staff who helped me check in and showed me to my room. They went through dinner times as well as breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast as I was too full up from the dinner the previous evening, the pie was beautiful and the sticky toffee pudding was yummy! My room was of a good size, clean and tidy and en-suite shower room was lovely. I will definitely be booking to stay at The George again when I next visit.」

「Loved the place, old building in a beautiful old town. It is what it is, if you want the Ritz then this isn't the place for you, but then there isn't a Ritz in Richmond. But it was fine for my wife and I, and I will definitely use again. Full English breakfast was great, along with cereal and toast and tea or coffee. Lovely」

「Booked here as a stopover on the way to Thoresby hall from Scotland as it was only a short drive off the motorway. We booked bed and breakfast at a very good price and we also had an evening meal. Both meals were great and the room even had an air con unit which was fantastic in the hot weather. The place was great value for money and we will certainly be back, can't thank the staff enough who were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Well done and we hope to be back soon.」
