「The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!」

「The building itself is beautiful, and the on-site restaurant was excellent. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed the atmosphere and had a pleasant stay. The only downside was the room layout, which felt a bit awkward. We were surprised by the open-concept bathroom, as it offered very little privacy. If we had traveled with our teenage daughter, the room configuration would not have worked for our family.」

Tub floor and walls dirty and soap dispensers in showers dirty. Arrived to find out what was booked was one bed but by receipt clearly said two. 「The bed was comfy but the TV didn’t work. There was a dead bug stuck to the bulletin board behind a piece of paper with hotel information. Not a huge deal, especially since we didn’t see it until we were packing up to leave.」
