The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa
8/10 Good
"I would rate this a 3.5/5 rating. Food is edible, rooms are clean & comfortable, drinks were good, the pool was HUGE & nice (teenagers played endless volleyball), nightly entertainment was good l, & the beach is absolutely stunning. Chairs are included, just ask.. missing a coffee shop with ice cream & pastries and. 1st & foremost the staff was amazing. Juan Morice went above and beyond around the pool. He made sure to always try and make sure your smiling while getting you anything you need. He was always helping us with our Spanish and really made our entire family to.run into him for the 1st time of the day. Our housekeeper Adilia made sure our room was tidy and with everything we needed & very very nice. Staff: 5/5 If your looking for gourmet dining then please know this place isn't it. Think cruise buffet. Caracola lunch and dinner defiitely had the best food. Burger shack by the bar was some of the best food you can get. Roomservice was fast & hot, but lackimg in quality. Food: 2.5/5 Drinks strong & good. The 5/5 Pool & Beach are both really nice. Walk 200 yards to the left when you go to the beach in front of the W, I promise you wont be mad! 7out of 5 Room: we stayed in building 36 in room 361. Wish there was a door between bed & living room. Nice rollaway bed and pullout couch. Bed was very comfortable. 4/5"

Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"This property is awesome! It’s nice and spread out, but not so much that you have to walk far to get to other buildings/pools, etc. There is a road between the buildings, but it’s super safe to cross, and not even that big of a deal. The rooms are very nice and clean and look just like the photo’s. There are 4 pools, and one swim up bar. Daily breakfast consists of a huge buffet, with something different each day. My favorite was the specialty coffee maker. My husbands favorite was the green juice. The location is PERFECT. It’s right on the beach and right smack in the middle of the downtown area, surrounded by shops and restaurants. It’s quite easy to get lounge chairs with shade on the beach (for a cheap fee), and they have vendors selling drinks and massages. And if sand isn’t your vibe, there is a huge grassy area in the front of the beach with free lounge chairs. Highly highly recommend this hotel. I traveled with my husband and two teenagers and everyone loved it. We will definitely be back."

Hotel Riu Guanacaste - All Inclusive

Azura Beach Resort - All Inclusive - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. We arrived 3 hours prior to check in but we were welcome to use the facilities or grab lunch. We went to eat at their restaurant Chill and Grill. Our waiter/waitress Alonzo and Kemly were so nice and very attentive. I was recognized as an Expedia VIP member and was told we would receive a spa credit for massages which we unfortunately didn’t have time to book. I was texted when our room was ready and Sibly (I hope I spelled his name right) helped take our luggage to our room. He made sure everything was working properly and gave us a run down on how to use the tv and electric shades. We then went to enjoy the beach and we were so pleasantly impressed with how peaceful and serene the beach was. No vendors to disturb you and the hotel didn’t appear crowded. We got drinks at Nikoa beach club and our waiter Wilkins was amazing! Very attentive and friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone at the beach club was taken care of. The grounds at this boutique hotel are gorgeous and have a very luxurious atmosphere. The same night I received a message from Expedia asking how check in was and if our VIP status was acknowledged by offering a complimentary room upgrade. I brought it up to the front desk and the gentleman in charge said he would run it past his manager the next morning. The next day we were pleasantly surprised with a swim out room upgrade! Jennifer was great on our morning hike"

Jardín del Edén Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"What a gem! The thoughtful layout of the property gave us both lush garden pool vibes + beachfront infinity pool nestled in the bustling boutique area of Tamarindo. The rooms are adequate. We indulged on one with a hot tub and patio which was so perfect for the occasional passing rain. Absolutely beautiful grounds, exceptional service, perfect location. And the food was literally gourmet every night. Breakfast, which is also included, was a display of choice both hot and cold. We rented a car and appreciated the secure lot just adjacent. Brilliant stay!"

Condovac la Costa
8/10 Good
"I stayed one night at Condovac and honestly wished it had been longer! The resort was clean and exactly as advertised. It never felt overcrowded, even at the pools and lounge areas—which were open until midnight (although towel service wasn’t available that late). The rooms were spacious and comfortable. One of the AC units didn’t seem to cool as much as expected, but overall the stay was still very comfortable. No WiFi in rooms is a bummer. Beach access was a highlight—clean and easy to get to. Kayaks are available starting at 9am, and there were a few local vendors nearby selling treats like snow cones and handmade artisan items, which added a nice local touch. I really appreciated the continuous shuttle service around the property—it made getting up and down the hill effortless. The pools were warm and well-maintained. The food was delicious and had a home-cooked feel. Dinner included options like rice, pasta, potato wedges, vegetables, and chicken or fish. Breakfast offered traditional rice and beans, sweet plantains, eggs, pancakes, salami, fruit, and cereal. Lunch featured arroz con pollo, white rice, ribs, and salad. And the tres leches dessert was amazing! Coffee was always available, and alcoholic drinks were included—shoutout to the friendly bartender who made a caipirinha so good I wanted another! The only downside was the shuttle. Pickup from the airport is free, but return is not. It also isn’t 24hr (available from 7am–10pm). Paid $80 one way"
