"The location is absolutely perfect - an easy walk to the wharves and all they have to offer but tucked off to the side so that it’s quiet and not right in the middle of the bustle. Beautifully situated on the harbor with a lovely outdoor terrace area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is by valet only, which is a little annoying, but they are quick and friendly."

"The proximity to downtown Newport and the ferry stops is perfect for visiting Ft Adams for the music festivals. Loaner bikes are a great addition, but they need maintenance, as do the bike helmets. The fitness center is well equipped and spacious, but hard to find! In general, the layout of the property is difficult to navigate. The staff is friendly and happy to help. The rooms need a makeover. At least in ours, the carpet and furniture were shabby and not what I’d expect from Marriott, especially at the Newport price. All in all, we enjoyed our stay but probably will not return to this lodging option for future festival weekends. The entire wharf area is price-inflated."

"We enjoyed our stay here. Great location Staff friendly and helpful. Nice outside bar Rooms could use a cosmetic update to the furniture and I wish there was someplace to store clothes and I appreciate that there is no carpet on the floors Overall it was a good stay and would definitely consider this property again"

"Place nice and staff very nice. Room ready early. Right across from the beach. Continental breakfast was okay, egg n cheese “omelette”, not good and a second waffle maker would be a good idea . Should consider putting darkening curtains in the room. Room was very bright first thing in the am and traffic outside was loud. "
