"The food in the restaurant was very good and in a lovely emvironment. I was a little disappointed with the spa - it was more like a leisure centre pool than a spa. A lovely historic building. We stayed in the old part which was gorgeous. Really helpful, pleasant staff."

"Nice communal areas, friendly staff and good service. However the rooms are severely outdated and in need of renovation - there was damp/mould in my room, peeling paint, bathroom was old, room was also dusty. Not the standard I'd expect for Champneys. "

"Room very clean and beds very comfy. Bathroom was a bit small and wish the water had been hotter for the shower. Room not dated in style but the carpet was a bit worn and maybe just a bit tired but overall good, well worth a stay and good value for money. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, from checkin to dining to bar. Pool a great addition to any stay with kids but the women's locker room needed some TLC. Food was really good for both Room service and breakfast. Recommend!"

"No water in the room. No shower caps or other bits in the bathrooms. Breakfast was great. Rooms were nice but kept hearing a rattle of some pipes during the night which affected ted our sleep. "
