Fatima at the front desk was so kind and helpful, she really made the experience even better than what it was. Loved the room, the neighborhood was safe and had so many food options and was close to the train station and the city. Would 10000% stay here again when I come back to New York.

Staff was fine and room was clean but this is the most noisy hotel I've ever experienced. You can hear every cough and step between floors. The rooms desperately need rugs or something to help dampen sound between rooms and floors.

The room was in great condition, love the modern feel. I booked it for my birthday weekend but where I had issues is when the entire floor lost power. Front-desk staff was not very helpful or forthcoming with info in the moment (I actually thought it was just my room & only learnt it was the whole floor the next morning), I had to go down to them after not receiving a promised call back with an update. Was disappointed that they had no other room to place me & even more disappointed that they told me to open the window for fresh air knowing very well that the windows were sealed shut. I would’ve appreciated honesty. I had friends stay over with me because we left the room door ajar all night to try to get some air in. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the maintenance crew the next day were very helpful & understanding & apart from the power outage, the rooms did live up to my expectations. Also don’t like that a refund for that night was not suggested to me upfront which is crazy. Would I give it another chance? Yes. Beds were comfy & room was modern. Staff just needs to work on communicating better. The reviews about the noise from the bar downstairs are true, so if you’re there to get some rest or to just unwind, this may not be the place for you. This did not bother me much.

The room was dated but seemed clean however the noise from music at the bar below and elsewhere on the floor was terrible. We could hear people talking in their rooms very clearly. On the Saturday night, the was loud music until after 4:30 am and despite calling to the front desk, it continued. Some of the staff were indifferent best.

The room was extremely loud… our bed was right underneath what seemed to be like the venting system for the whole hotel. We could hear metal rattling in the bathroom all night. Our room, (which we did not notice when we checked in) had some sort of plastic bag taped to the smoke alarm in the ceiling… and at about 1:30 AM the fire alarm for some reason was set off.. either in our room or the floor itself. Firemen came in minutes to figure out what happened . The bed was outfitted with a very thin blanket in this NYC winter (24 * degrees that night). Really strange experience. Felt more like a motel than a hotel. The room did not have a closet to hang clothing nor a coffee pot. The room had the feel of my kids college dorm.

It was very noisy *inside* the building due to other loud hotel visitors and thin walls and ceilings. Other hotel visitors played music very loudly, talked loudly and yelled in the hallways late at night, slammed doors, and there was even a dog barking inside one of the rooms late at night. The lobby also smelled like marijuana. As a former resident of the city, I expected outside of the hotel to be noisy due to typical New York City life. Not a problem for me. However, I was disappointed and surprised at how noisy other travelers were *inside* the hotel. I have stayed in other hotels in the city, and this was the first time noise inside was a major issue. I found this very disrespectful, and it was not addressed by the hotel staff. Fortunately, the room was clean and in good condition. But, I would not recommend staying here nor would I stay here again.

[FR] Ma famille et moi avons séjourné à l'hôtel 1080 Brooklyn, dans une chambre triple, du 21 au 27 octobre 2025. On nous avait initialement attribué la chambre n° 500, mais nous avons demandé à en changer pour une plus calme et l'équipe a eu la gentillesse de nous installer dans la chambre n° 607, donnant sur l'arrière du bâtiment, à l'écart du bar bruyant situé au rez-de-chaussée. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à New York et à Brooklyn. Le 27 octobre en fin de matinée, le départ s'est déroulé sans problème, sans frais supplémentaires. Notre caution (environ 86 €) nous a été rapidement remboursée et nous avons pu faire garder nos bagages gratuitement jusqu'à notre départ pour la France, prévu plus tard dans la journée. Cependant, dans le même temps, nous avons constaté un débit non sollicité de 77,59 € (environ 90 $US) de la part de l'hôtel sur notre compte bancaire. À notre retour pour récupérer nos bagages, nous avons signalé le problème au réceptionniste/concierge, mais celui-ci n'avait apparemment pas accès au système informatique de l'hôtel pour vérifier et expliquer ce débit. Il nous a donc demandé de faire une réclamation par e-mail… Ce que j'ai fait à six reprises, sans même obtenir de réponse ni un simple accusé de réception, afin de comprendre d'où vient cette somme et d'obtenir son remboursement, car elle semble incohérente. J'attends toujours le retour du management de l'hôtel...

Für einen Kurztrip nach NY okay, die Dusche hat eine Glaswand zu den Betten und vor dem Fenster verläuft eine 3-Spurige S-Bahn auf einer Metallkonstruktion über der Straße. Wir waren abends so müde, dass es nicht gestört hat. Die Kaution haben wir problemlos erstattet bekommen.

Talk about a hidden gem! I was taken aback but this boutique style hotel. I met the manager Andre first then the lovely Fatima. They allowed me to check-in 2 hours earlier which meant the world to me because I was exhausted after visiting with 5 clients this morning. I was given a room on the 5th floor. The rooms are so cute. compact, clean. I mean CLEAN!! the bathroom was adorable, the bed was comfy as h*LL. No issues with the tv. Truly perfection. All the staff was great. Housekeeping, and all the ice I could eat! lol (I'm an ice-eater) There's a great bar lounge downstairs. (free to the hotel patrons) Plenty of near-by restaurants and stores. You can shop, eat, whatever! I still have my 2 complimentary drinks tickets that I'm also able to use at another time. I plan on returning for a Wednesday to show off my karaoke skills. Oh, and don't forget to grab some complimentary coffee/tea as well. *beautiful entry at the lobby **nice smoking area out back ***My hotel of choice for all my quarterly visits NOTE: It's near an elevated train but you won't even notice. I'm a pretty light sleeper when I'm away from home and I slept straight through the night. Give them a try, you won't regret it #Hotel1080 <3

I had a great experience at this hotel and would stay again. Because of where my room was, it was a little noisy which disturbed my sleep a bit. This was due to being located in close vicinity to the bar downstairs and a stairwell door which closed very loudly each time it closed. I would stay again but recommend a different room.
