I absolutely loved and enjoyed my stay at the Hamden Hotel and Suites. The room was great. It had everything I could possibly need or want. It had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and the best part of all it had a private balcony that I could walk right out onto and smoke my cigarettes in the morning or whenever. That way I didn't have to walk far or thru the hotel to get to the outside.

Promised a pool, the hours were silly. They are closed all morning. The pool hours are 12-8. By the time we checked in we were ready to go to dinner and then the pool was closed til we left. When we were given the key to the room furthest away from the main desk, the room had been slept in and clearly not cleaned. (Bed unmade, for starters). There was a rug with hole in it going up the stairs...and many other small issues, When I went for coffee in the morning, the milk in both the 2% and whole were both out of date and sour. Be kind to you fellow travelers, take this hotel off you site.

The desk staff and breakfast attendent were so hospitable and helpful. The breakfast itself was well above a standard chain breakfast, that was worth the price of the room alone! The room itself is dated, but passable for a night. Will be back!

we did not have the opportunity to sample breakfast. Room 306, bulb was out in the bathroom, I brought a lamp into the bathroom. Staff responded, we agreed to leave the bathroom as was, The TV in 303 needed to be rebooted, staff responded. Mold in tub area. 306 was suppose to be two beds, was only one. Room was fine and it was late so I let it go. Night Staff was caring and did what they could.

The room was in barely functional condition. The staff was fine. We were told that none of the room telephones worked. We were told that all the TVs were different and had to be specially handled by the staff. Despite a staff person attending to our TV, we still couldn't get it to work. Good things included a decent shower, easily adjusted heat, a just-okay breakfast, and comfortable beds. Also the friendly and non-defensive desk staff.

Did not receive the room specifications that we booked. This used to be the Clarion hotel and is now under a different name. Bugs in the room, shower did not work, carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in years, mold on the ceiling, and what appeared to be blood stains on my towels.. staff was beyond rude. 3 other people checking in all asked to change rooms because of the conditions. They refused to refund us after we found cockroaches. We left and got a different hotel. There is a brand new hotel building just down the road. Spend the extra $15 and go there.
