"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "We were meant to have breakfast but there wasn’t a lot of options for my husband so we ate out instead. Some of the plugs sockets were coming out of the walls which worried me. We enjoyed our stay and the room was lovely. The fire alarm went off I don’t know if this was a test or what. If it was a test then I would pic a different day as people ste resting but if it wasn’t then I think maybe a phone call to rooms to make people aware. We would return and recommend the hotel but just a few things to mention "

"We recently stayed at this hotel and needed a double room and a twin room. Both rooms were lovely and warm on a cold say which was very welcome. We were very happy with the stay and decided to have breakfast. It is served until 11am but when we arrived at 10am, there were very little bread/baked options and all the fruit had gone and had not been replenished. Parking is available but is at the rear of the hotel which we didn't realise until we'd parked on the road but no problem just moved our car around the back."

"Easy to find and fantastic big car park at the back of the hotel which was included in the price of our stay. Lovely warm room, comfortable bed and great shower. There was a good breakfast selection but staff didn’t interact with customers and didn’t clear our table once during our 2 day stay. I hate dirty pots around me!! Also no conversation with restaurant staff about alternatives for breakfast as only had fried eggs on offer at self selection. I asked for poached eggs and it took them over 20 mins to bring them to me. I asked twice how long they would be and was told there is a bit of a delay with my order as quite a few people had ordered them. Not sure why as it only takes a couple of mins to cook these!! Also hot food options were empty and had to keep asking for things which was a bit annoying. Overall our stay was okay and I would stay again. "
