We recently stayed at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas. The resort is stunning—very clean, beautifully maintained, and with a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the property itself feels luxurious and well-kept.
However, there are a few things future travelers should know. Restaurant reservations need to be made well in advance, and there’s a $100 cancellation fee, which can be inconvenient. Dining here is very expensive—one dinner for two with just two cocktails cost nearly $450.
Excursions were also priced quite high, ranging from $400 per person up to $3,000, even for similar tours we did last year at Atlantis for much less. It’s hard to tell if this is due to the resort itself or just rising costs in general, but it’s definitely something to budget for.
Overall, it’s a beautiful and relaxing resort with excellent service, but travelers should be prepared for premium pricing on almost everything.
