"We loved our stay at Papaya Resort. The rooms were comfy and cozy, the staff were very friendly and always available to help or provide info, the restaurant and eating area was a great space to relax while enjoying a beverage and playing cards, the food was fresh and delicious and the river/mountain views are amazing. The resort is a couple km's from town but they have ebikes, bicycles or will call a tuk tuk if needed. You can also easily book tours and activities right at the resort and get...

"Staying here in Nong Khiaw, on the river, enjoying the spectacular scenery from my balcony, I felt peaceful and very well taken care of by the wonderful staff. If I go back to Nong Khiaw, I would only stay here. The family in charge, did everything they could to make my stay exceed my expectations. Sieu was a wonderful cook and the food at this hotel was better than anything I found in town. They had kayaks and paddleboardd right down below on the water. They did laundry incredibly fast....

"No one, even on reception, spoke English, so communication was difficult. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was poor, the food lukewarm and had been standing a long time. There were few, if any, other visitors, and we did not speak to anyone during our stay. There was a spa, massage and restaurant advertised, but no sign of these. The location was just outside the centre, but easy walking distance."
