Great Value!

Courteous and accommodating staff with a great location on the river. The hotel is next to the famous viewpoint and restaurants featuring international dishes.

Beautiful view of the river from my room. However, it wasn’t the room I booked - I booked a double room and was given a twin glamping tent. Also for the price I would expect to be given a towel, after checkin there was no staff around to ask for one.

We stayed at the Pont Inn in Nong Khiaw and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the very affordable price point. The location can’t be beat—it’s just a short walk to town for restaurants and shops, and close to several popular hikes. The hotel also helped us organize a boat adventure, which was a real highlight of our trip. The boat conveniently picked us up right from the shoreline below the hotel, making it super easy and enjoyable. The owners are incredibly friendly, responsive, and eager to help with any requests or questions, which made our stay feel very personal. The air conditioning was excellent—powerful and much appreciated after hot days exploring. There’s also a small coffee bar on-site, though we didn’t get the chance to try it. On the downside, the bed was quite hard, more like a box spring with a thin mattress on top. We requested additional padding, and they provided it promptly the next day, which helped a lot. The A-frame room design is cozy but also makes the space feel cramped, especially when moving around or storing luggage. The bathroom setup was less than ideal—the shower area is made of plastic panels that weren’t very clean, with some dark spots that seemed like mold. Finally, there’s a restaurant next door that plays music until around 9–10 p.m., which might bother light sleepers. Despite these minor issues, the Pont Inn offers great value, a prime location, and warm hospitality, making it a solid choice for budget travelers

Friendly and easy!

Very friendly eco-lodge style accommodation. The host is easy-going and helpful! I recommend the place, who has possibly the only Japanese toilet seats in Northern Laos … :):) at an affordable price!

Für laotische Verhältnisse ein akzeptables Zimmer. Traumhafter Blick zum Fluss bei einer sehr ruhigen Lage direkt an der Brücke. Gastgeber waren sehr nett. Wer keine Probleme mit steilen Treppen hat und auf eine günstige und angenehme Unterkunft zurückgreifen möchte ist hier gut aufgehoben. Dusche mit ungeschützter Elektronik daneben ließen etwas Zweifel aufkommen.
