"AMAZING STAY! Run by a very cute and welcoming family. They are the 6th generation to run a Ryokan here in this 300 year old building. They are excellent hosts. They serve delicious dinners and breakfasts. The dishes and bowls they use are pieces of art in themselves. The property is full of interesting and skilfully made antiques. Our view from the room was a classic, beautifully manicured garden illuminated by a few stone lanterns. I really recommend you stay here. It is great value and a traditional Japanese Ryokan experice. The facilities were as you’d expect in a budget hotel, providing pyjamas, hair brush, toothbrush and toothpaste, towels, razor, cotton buds, hairdryer etc. The beds were very comfortable and clean. I would recommend this hotel. The only negative is that the decor is dated, but that can add a little something extra to your stay to be honest. Our room, 318, had a great view of Mt Fuji."

"A wonderful ryokan with a lovely staff, who also speak good English. We were courteously picked up from Yaizu station and then dropped off when we checked out as well. The room is very large, bed comfortable, and filled with modern amenities. Even the temperature of our private onsen can be adjusted down to 39C (which I preferred). The meals were elaborate and delicious, served in a very tranquil and comfortable setting. I would definitely return in the future. I especially recommend this hotel to solo travelers, as this one of the very few higher end, full service ryokans with a private onsen that accepts lone guests."
