"Hmmm. Positives were few - it was quiet and the tv and heater worked well. Negatives were unfortunately many. The whole space was grubby, especially the shower. There was some sort of leak in the bathroom, with water pooling on the floor. Not sure where it was coming from (I don’t think it was the shower). Under the sink in the kitchen also leaked. The kitchen supplies were limited (we had to ask for another fork) and there was only one lid (that was broken) between the 2 saucepans. The towel rail in the bathroom was broken off (from the residual glue it looked like someone had tried to repair it multiple times). The towels were threadbare, although we had enough of them. As a side note - the hot water from the tap was HOT. Dangerously hot. Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay here again."
"Pierce room with view of footy oval and surrounding hills.
Lovely retro style accommodation with high-ceilings and plenty of room. A mishmash of old and new furniture but we were cool with that. Very secure and handy to the pub downstairs with good meals at fair prices - no complaints there! Friendly staff to boot; nice. And although we were worried about downstairs pub noise filtering up, there was nothing to speak of, so happy there.
On the downside, there was not a tight fitting in the place - bedside light fittings - very loose on wall; table lamp - broken and flickering); shower arm - loose to wall; basin tap - loose to base; shower glass - floor silicone gone so waves in the breeze, ready to come loose in someone's hand! Towel hooks - loose and spinning (I managed to fix one (you're welcome). No staff around to report this on departure mid-morning; telephone was answered by broken English cleaners only.
And now the big one - what we thought might be a lovely idea - the communal kitchen - well that needs to be locked out for early risers (e.g. not before 6:30am)! Our @rsehole neighbours thought it okay to get up at 3:55am (their prerogative, okay, early start) BUT then access the communal kitchen to cook bacon and eggs breakfast and hold a (short) conversation in the corridor before finalising their pack-up and heading off at 4:40am!!!
Hotel fix: make it clear the kitchen is locked out (put the door on timer/whatever) until a reasonable hour! Not okay!!!"
"Doors falling off hinges, horrible uncomfortable bed leaving my partner with terrible back pain, toilet had poo stains in bowl despite a cleaned toilet wrapper on lid. Toilet brush covered in cobwebs so obviously hadn't been cleaned .. carpark terrible to leave, sign out front so bad we drove past 3 times..."
