"The property is so cool. It is a historic site and has been brought back to reveal has gorgeous it is. It has all the character with modern touches you could want. The Blue Room is very comfortable with enough room for two to spend a cozy weekend. The location is perfect for Beaufort - it's right by the main drag, you can easily walk to shopping, dining, the ferries. And the hosts are awesome! "

"Very impressed, first time staying at the Double Tree and was not disappointed. Restaurant on site was good. Construction was going on but wasn't a issue during the weekend. I will be staying again. Had a room that wasn't ocean front but had side view to see ocean. Next time I stay I will try to get a room with ocean front. Walking distance to get ice cream across the street. Cookies that was complimentary was great. "

"Clean, no-frills room with a kitchenette was all we needed for a NYE getaway with our two dogs. Check-in was quick and the staff checked on us a few times during our stay. Our two dogs came with us and loved the beach! My one complaint would be the sheerness of the curtains in the bathroom - anyone in the house behind the inn would be able to see inside. I remedied it by hanging a towel over the curtain rod. :)"

"Check in was quick and staff was friendly. Room wasn't very clean. Used soap and bandages in shower upon arrival. Killed three cockroaches in two night stay, but I'm sure there were plenty more. Walls are thin, so noise from other guests and busy highway outside is sometimes noticeable. You get what you pay for."
