The Hotel Nelligan was everything I hoped it would be. Booked it for my wife's 40th and the staff was excellent. When we got there we were upgraded to a larger suite which was a very nice surprise but what truly blew me away was the bottle of Prosecco delivered you our door. We truly enjoyed it over great conversation. The Hotel has the right mix of heritage and old world charm with modern touches. We loved the restaurant options and most of all it's central location I Old Montreal. The area is beauy and we spent the entire weekend walking all around the neighborhood. My wife absolutely loved the hotel and our room and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I think we'll be back. Thank you again to all the staff for a wonderful visit.

Absolutely delightful boutique hotel. I highly recommend staying here! The rooftop bar and restaurant were the best I’ve ever experienced. The food, drinks, music, atmosphere and view made for an amazing evening. The room and hotel staff were also exceptional. I would definitely come back again and will recommend to anyone interested in coming to Montreal.

Staff was fantastic. Hotel is beautiful. We ate at both the restaurant and the roof top. The service up top was a bit slow but the food was good.

We had very much looked forward to our stay the Nelligan but unfortunately things did not go well. Negatives - breakfast at Mama C's was a disaster. On the 1st morning, we were seated and then ignored for 15 minutes - couldn't get anyone's attention to bring coffee or menus, etc. We left and went down the street to the Auberge du Vieux-Port for breakfast (it was excellent). The next morning we decided to try again (perhaps it was just a bad day) and this time we were seated and served but the food was just not good. Medium poached eggs were a runny mess served in a ramekin floating in butter and olive oil - there was simply no way to eat them with anything other than a spoon. The rest of the meal wasn't as bad but wasn't good. We also tried later to sit in the lounge for a drink and appetizer but again were seated and ignored for over 15 minutes. Went upstairs to the Terrasse and had a seat and a beer within a couple of minutes. Finally, toilet was not working in the room and the AC pretty much sounded like a helicopter taking off. This is 1st bad review that I've ever left so hopefully things will improve because we liked much about the hotel itself. Also want to point out some pluses - the front desk and concierge staff were very accommodating, the staff and food at Terrasse Nelligan were excellent and we also had a good meal and good service at Mama C on our 1st evening.

My daughter and I ventured out on an almost three week vacation staying in eight different hotels. This one was certainly one of our favorites. The staff was incredibly friendly and committed to ensuring the perfect stay. Housekeeping knocked on the door each evening with complementary bottles of water, coffee and chocolates. The roof top terrace restaurant and Mama C’s were excellent. We didn’t have time to visit the steak house, unfortunately. The room was a good size, complete with stocked fridge and a snack bar (for a charge) but an excellent variety. Everything was clean, with a very pleasing and comfortable aesthetic. The location is perfect to see everything in Old Montreal, and to walk to the waterfront parks and the city itself. We found everyone in Montreal very friendly, enjoyed the Rainspa, a sister spa location to Nelligan, and several local restaurants nearby. Valet parking is a true perk in any city. Valet staff were absolutely amazing, always smiling and extremely helpful. Valet parking with in-out service allowed us to visit other attractions nearby but too far to walk to. Check in and out was easy, quick, informative and also always with a smile.

Excellent location near the Basilica and old port with easy walking or public transit around the city. The staff at the hotel were exceptional, particularly the concierge, Jonathan Hug. He went above and beyond to help my husband plan an anniversary surprise and daily assisted us in planning our stay with suggestions and help with reservations. We also enjoyed complimentary sparkling wine and treats in our room and a complimentary upgrade to a petite suite. Our stay was truly memorable! The gentlemen who helped with luggage and parking our car were also exemplary. Highly recommend!

Great location in old Montreal, fantastic customer service, super welcoming, nice big bathroom with heated floors. It was comfortable, really clean, very nice bed, you could open the window and feel like you are in Europe. Restaurant downstairs is so convenient, bartender makes great drinks. We absolutely loved every minute of being there. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Nice Property and very friendly staff. The Valets are awesome and friendly. Rooms are extremely clean and the beddings extremely confortable. We stayed for four nights. We told the valet that our departure time would be 4:30 am and he wrote it down in front of us.... Next morning at 4:15 am guy at the front desk was sleeping on the couch and car was still in parking lot locked. He gave us the keys and we walked down the alley (at 4 am) only to find the lot locked. walked back to hotel and couldn't find the service guy.... luckily the janitor cleaning the floor ran around and found him and brought the remote to open the gate. Left the hotel late but made our flight... Thanks to cleaning guy who could tell we were freaking out !!!! Not sure why the car wasn't just left in front of the hotel the night before. The street was empty.

- Work was being on the floor we were on - room was beautiful - bed was comfortable - front desk service was ok - no support with brining luggage to our room - valet not good - left car unlocked on the side of the road for hours

We have stayed here a several times over the last year and truly love this place. You can't beat the location, and the staff there are absolutely lovely, engaging and so helpful. Jack (bellhop/valet) was a delight and gave wonderful insights into places to visit and see during our stay. We can't wait to be back.
