The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean except for poor water pressure and not having hot water in the shower marred our stay esp after a long day out looking forward to a nice warm shower instead, we have a trickling shower and cold water. Requested maintenance to rectified it the next day - it was not fixed when we came back and a helpful technician came and managed to fixed the water pressure and the temperature of the water.

I am a regular guest of Grand Palace for several years. My last stay (21-22 Feb 2023) in Room 208 was my worst experience.
*i tried to check in at 10am. The receptionist insisted on charging RM30. I have never been asked to pay for early check in. I checked in early in my previous stay (8-10 Feb 2023) without incurring additional charge.
* check in was slow. They could not find my booking.
*Toilet was dirty. Dead cockroach in bath tub.
*had to take stopper out of sink and bath tub because water could not flow out
*room door could not lock properly
