Got charged after already paying in advance with Expedia , 2.5k taken on checkin from my account, took many phone calls to sort out , if that was someone’s only holiday money they would be in trouble , very dismissive about it

Love the pool area! Partially shaded, lots of trees and plants, and vibe hits the right balance. We traveled with our elementary school aged kids, and it was relaxed enough for them but not overrun by kids and family needs. Saw plenty of couples and groups of adults friends who seemed to be having a good time and not bothered by the relatively low number of kids. Service is attentive but relaxed. We have stayed at many of the bigger hotels on south beach, and this one had the best balance of all factors.

Disappointed with my stay. Starting with my check in did not receive good customer service from the time of check in. Also, I thought housekeeping came very late in the day which frustrated me. Also, the room was not very clean, the carpet was left dirty and there was trash left from prior guests. Considering the considerable amount of money spent on this hotel I expected a cleaner room, better customer service from staff. I think you get what you pay for and I definitely did not get what I paid for.

The hotel was very crowded and there is construction going on the North side. I think all things considered the hotel did their best to manage these challenges. The staff was very helpful. Special thanks to Tyler by the pool and Rebecca at the front desk. The food at the pool was not amazing and drinks were expensive which is to be expected. We traveled with our two daughters 9 & 12 and enjoyed our visit.

I had three nights stay during my spring break in W south beach. It's not a satisfied stay overall. The first night, I was waked up by construction noise at 9AM. However, I did not be notified about the construction situation. I don't know why W offered the guests a room right below the construction room. After my complained, my room got changed to the 7th floor(I was on the 5th), the room is similar location as my previous room. The new rooms seem not fully prepared before my move. There are cigarettes on the balcony. I'm allergic to dust mites. I have some symptoms after I stay in the new room…. The second night was peaceful. However!!!!!!!!!! The third night, I was waked up by the construction noise again........... I don't know what to say, anyone get my feeling? My 4 days vacation.... was waked up and struggled by the noise for 2 stays........ The room service was so so too. My order got forgotten by the staffs twice... (I got my food after I contacted them which is 2 hours late than scheduled)..... W hotel is not a cheap hotel, I wonder why the service was so poor. It not worth the money I spent.

Really great hotel, great staff. The only comment I would make is to wash the room floors after every stay and vacuum instead of using that sticky roller as it doesn't pick up everything. Cleaning staff was very nice.

Gorgeous hotel and grounds located right on the beach. Rooms were stunning, pool and beach set up were both excellent. Restaurant and var options were great. Only negative was a gentleman at the front desk with a serious attitude who was very rude . He is the reason I gave the staff a lower score.

I loved this hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Mine had a nice view. Breakfast buffet is delicious. Enjoyed a massage at the spa. Comfiest beach loungers I have ever experienced. I would definitely return here.

The hotel is gorgeous and has a nice luxurious feel without being pretentious. Access to tbe beach is great. Servers by the pool are friendly and polite. However, the pool is understaffed and it was hard to get service.

For years and years now we have been loyalist to the Loews hotel up the street. However we needed to stay at an upscale hotel for only two nights... and the Loews has a three night minimum. This was a last-minute decision to get away with my teenage daughter for a special daddy daughter trip. I decided to book our stay at the W...The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. From the moment you enter the front doors, the artwork and the spectacular surroundings ooze luxury. The staff were incredibly friendly. since we arrived at 10 AM, we were given keys to a hospitality suite so that we could get changed and utilize the pool and amenities while a room was assigned to us. The hospitality suite was spacious and immaculately clean and well appointed. The pool at the W is gorgeous with lots of seating. When we checked in I explained to the representative, whose name is Leity, that this was a special trip for my daughter and I had hoped we could possibly get a nice room upgrade! Well… We were absolutely blown away to find out we had been upgraded to a stunning suite overlooking the ocean!!!! THANK YOU LEITY FOR MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE! The W hotel was gorgeous and inviting and the service outstanding. Also, the attendant at the front whose name is Hal very graciously agreed to manage our suitcases and get everything into our hotel room. Seamless and outstanding! We will most definitely be coming back to the W hotel and loved our stay!

I have stayed at many properties around the South Beach area but this property is definitely my number 1. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for and it’s a very kid friendly.

$1000 per night for a room on a building site!
Paid $1000 per night for a room for 2 people and was given a room where building works were taking place above us. We was given no notification of this at point of booking. Our balcony was covered in cement and dust so couldn't use it. Was offered a room change but we was only staying 2 nights and had other bookings so didnt have the time or want the inconvenience of a change. I was offered 20K Marriott points which was a bit of an insult actually. Just do the decent thing, if someone pays $1000 per night make sure you put them in a room that is worth that, not one with building works and noise and covered in dust/cement. Feel completely conned to be honest and that W Hotels shoud be ashamed of themselves. They even tried to say they didnt know that work was going on! How can you not know work is going on when there is scaffolding and nest on your building located directly above the room we were staying in?!

The place overall is ok. However, the air conditioner was very loud the first night we stayed there, and had to call engineer to fix the issue around 11:00pm at night. Also, it was the first time that I experienced hotel staff to knock the door for a few seconds then scan her card trying to get into the room around 8:00pm at night. I was glad that I had the second lock locked so I had the time to get dressed before opening the door. The staff was asking me if I need anything such as extra water. I appreciated that, but I still didn’t understand why the hotel staff tried to get into the room by knowing guests are in the room around 8:00pm at night which is kind not professional.
