「We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! 「Dog friendly room was clean but very basic and tired/worn looking even for a dog friendly room. Missing the basics like a mirror in the bedroom & maybe a coat hook by the front door. However the hotel itself was fantastic, set within beautiful grounds. The staff throughout were excellent & very welcoming from check-in to the bar staff to the restaurant staff. The food in the restaurant was incredible & reasonably priced too. We would definitely return. 」

「We booked 2 sea view rooms for 3 nights. Only one room had a sea view and the bathroom in that room had black mould around the ceiling. The other room had a very old mattress and the bedding was old and thin. The pillows in that room were flat. We checked out after 1 night and will not be back. Whilst the staff were friendly, this hotel needs refurbishment, new mattresses, new duvets, pillows, blankets and linen. Mould is injurious to health and no hotel of the calibre that this hotel...
