「This property is in the park and so you can get to the entrance by 6am when they open. The grounds are lovely as you are in the tropical forest. The first night we were there we heard howler monkeys close by and saw a Toucan (wild) and many birds. The hotel is supposedly run entirely on solar power, although that’s not something I could verify. But kudos to them. The room was very spacious for my son and I and so was the bathroom. 「Loved being so close to Tikal. Rooms were clean, staff super nice, good food at kitchen, pool was great at the end of the hot day (warm water from the sun so not refreshingly cool but good). Electricity limited - bring uSB plugs (no USB-C ports) - but they will charge devices in the office if you ask. Very few food options nearby but hotel restaurant was very good. Fav: burrito. No AC, ceiling fan only. I opened all windows and propped bathroom door open to get a small cross breeze but...
