「We loved staying at the Minerva Guesthouse. The hosts are lovely and thoughtful. as are the staff. It's really what makes this place special. The location is excellent, right near the beach for an early morning or evening walk when the tide is out. Our room for three was tight but with everything we needed: an excellent shower, comfortable, clean bed, and closet space. Go for the location, but stay for the hosts. 」

「Such an amazing spot with views over the beach and cove. 10 minutes from Newquay airport makes it so convenient when flying over. Food is excellent, and service standards high. I'm not even cross they forgot our dessert order, which would normally frustrate me and might put some off. Rebooking as soon as I can!」

「The hotel location is perfect. On sea front and a few minutes walk into town. The rail station is only minutes away too. The hotel was quiet. My room,small, but everything was there. I was very comfortable in the room. I would certainly choose to stay there again. I had a lovely break and enjoyed Newquay very much.」

「We attended a family wedding 」

「It was a lovely stay. Some parts of the hotel needed a bit of attention, but I would return, no doubt. I love the fact it’s an independent hotel. We ate in each night on our 3 night stay, and the quality of the food was fantastic. Also the quality of the bar staff and the reception staff checking in and out. Can’t fault any of them. 」

「Would recommend. Very clean, gorgeous bathroom with amazing shower (wish I had it at home!) Lovely staff, friendly , helpful, really lovely restaurant with great food. Im gluten free and there was no shortage of options with dinner Or breakfast. Well done would definitely stay again wasnt even expensive. 」

「The owners were very friendly. A cosy place, room was clean slightly dated. The room my wife and I was in had signs of an old leak on ceiling, some repairs needed but nothing serious. Both of us found the bed a little soft for our liking. There are no restaurants close by within easy walking distance, but there are plenty of choices by car within 10 - 20 mins.」

「This is an amazing hotel....heated outdoor pool, spa, 1 min walk from a cliff view, 5 minutes from a beach. The staff are all so nice and friendly the only negative thing i have to say is the shower in the room was terrible.....better off showering in the spa showers」

「We had a lovely peaceful stay Pengelly is ideally situated for the whole of Cornwall and very welcoming Ben is a treasure trove of knowledge and such a lovely intelligent man. Katherine is a very busy mother and wife and both are lovely inviting people the farmhouse is very clean the rooms are very spacious and clean nothing seems to much to ask the breakfast is superb plenty of choice. Beautiful scenery outside your bedroom window.」
