「Could not believe the lovely view we had of Fistral Beach. Our double balcony overlooked Fistral Beach. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It would be nice on check-in for them to explain by they charge 50 pounds per night up front.」

「Good stay」

「We stayed in a ground floor lakeside apartment for a week in early June. The apartment itself was clean and had everything you needed from plates and cutlery to microwave and washer dryer. The weather was wet and cold when we were there so had to use the heating which worked well and their was plenty of hot water. The unit itself looked tired in places, vinyl plank flooring in kitchen looked like it had suffered water damage at some point, paint peeling on reveals around rear patio door and...

「A fantastic stay and what an experience! Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Great friendly welcome and everyone here could not do enough for you. The room was amazing and had the best nights sleep. We had a complimentary soft drink mini bar which was a nice touch. Bathroom was amazing too. We didn't eat here in the evening as had lunch at Rick Steins in Padstow, however, really enjoyed breakfast. Really can't wait to stay here again. THANK YOU Bodmin Jail Hotel, we will be back....

「Wonderful staff, nice room, and amazing breakfast!」

「Hotel was beautiful and clean. All the staff where very friendly, food was great with a great view of the beach. Only down side was the temperature of the room, we had a none sea view room (119) and it was really hot in the middle of the night. We had the door and window wide open with a fan on, both my kids where very sweaty and I had to get up twice to go stand outside in the middle of the night. 」

「Very happy with the hotel.It is situated close the harbour so the views from the bar and dining room are good,it is only a ten minute walk to the town centre.The food is very good no self service at breakfast you are served at the table.The staff are excellent 」

「It was a lovely stay. Some parts of the hotel needed a bit of attention, but I would return, no doubt. I love the fact it’s an independent hotel. We ate in each night on our 3 night stay, and the quality of the food was fantastic. Also the quality of the bar staff and the reception staff checking in and out. Can’t fault any of them. 」

「Stayed for a night. Room was clean (with shared bathroom) facing main road so for some people it can be disturbing but it was no issue for me. Good location, bus stop only a couple meters away. Easy check-in, very friendly & helpful staff. Can't comment on breakfast as I booked room only but there was option to add it on if i wanted when i checked in (even offered takeaway breakfast option too). I will be happy to book again if in the area in the future again. 」

「We enjoyed our stay, the grounds are beautiful and rooms very comfortable. The staff were a bit disinterested and lacked costumer service attention. We made use of the pool which was nice but having to book to use it was unusual.」
