Immensely impressive restoration of one of Britain's iconic buildings. The food in the restaurant was amongst the best I have tasted, however, although very friendly and attentive, the staff in the Restuarant would benefit from more training. The EV charging points were most welcome but were inconsistent and failed regularly. Loved the atmosphere generated by the property and would stay again if in the area

Lovely hotel. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very luxurious. The evening meal was okay but my husband’s dish tasted quite bland, considering the prices - we expected slightly better quality. We really enjoyed the history and novelty of the hotel. The free mini bar was a nice touch.

Such a great hotel, I can't say enough good things about it. The room (wow!) was awesome, fantastic and I had the most restful and amazing sleep during my stay. Great hotel , staff were friendly, rooms were clean, food was fantastic and a good little gym. Loved the vibe of the place in line with being an old prison. The in-house spooky tour in the basement was ok , but make what you want of it, probably not the best value for money but still fun/ interesting.

Amazing staff. Unbelievably friendly, helpful and nothing is too much for them and they look smart and very well spoken. The room was absolutely amazing, nice and clean. It's amazing how so many original features are still there. The ghost walk and the self guided tour was also fantastic. We will certainly be back as we want to do the after hours tour. Couldn't ask for a better service or place to stay 😊

the whole experience was fantastic, a warm welcome by all staff. we had an issue with our heating not working in our room, an attempt was made twice to repair it but unsuccessful, we went out for Dinner and was offered another room late evening, although the offer was appreciated we felt it was to late to move. all in all a very lovely hotel and we will hopefully return soon.
