It near the JR station, got ice cream and Yakult in lobby. Free ramen at night. In room fridge also have gift pear jelly and water. Will stay again in this hotel.

Fine stay
The room was clean and wide enough for two persons (twin bed room) with respect to a Japanese hotel standard. Location was good. 3~5 min walk from Matsue station and 20 min walk to Matsue castle. Breakfast was fine. Although a western-style bread, egg and coffee breakfast was available, I took Japanese local foods, soba and freshwater clam miso soup.

Good - Very clean property with the required room facilities. Not so gd - very very small room and a super small bathtub. Which you can only sit. (Btw my height is 150cm only)

The room was very comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly. Dormy Inn was also close to the train station. I would stay there again.

Overall, the Hotel is sufficient for one night but not more than that. The beds are too small and extremely uncomfortable. Everything else was good and the location is good for a day in Matsue.

Good value basic hotel near the station
Room large enough, and bed could be moved away from the wall. Breakfast good with Western choices as well as Japanese. Mobile phone etc charger available on loan, and microwave as well as drinks machine and washing machines. Near station. Good value

Nice room. The buffet breakfast was so great. Eggs and French toast - and tempura and soba noodles- such a great variety and cooked up fresh on the spot. Mini- refrigerator in room. Microwave available in vending area.

Small rooms but everything you need
Not the smallest room I've stayed in in Japan, but close to it. Even so, it was comfortable and pleasant, with excellent facilities and an outstanding breakfast buffet. Overall very good value.

OK hotel
Japanese hotels can have very small rooms and the showers are often only waist high so you need to sit down and wash or get everything wet. Having a TV in the bathtub makes the chance of electrocution high! Clean room but after a few days it felt cramped and boxed in. Breakfast downstairs disappointing - too much sugar in cereal and not much to choose from. Fish has plenty of bones if you want to choke or nibble for an hour. Coffee very ordinary - reminds me of a backpackers in Europe. Some days were better than others. Staff were all nice and polite and made up for some of the inconvenience.

The room we stayed in was the smallest of our entire trip. Very tight for two people. The hotel was clean but a little run down, only worth noting if you have bad dust allergies. The front desk seemed positively terrified of having non Japanese guests--also a first on our trip, especially since I can speak (pretty terrible) Japanese. Breakfast and neighborhood were excellent.

Convenient Matsue hotel
The hotel is conveniently located within a four minute walk from the Matsue main train station. It’s proximity to shopping malls, food halls and other restaurants made this an excellent choice for independent travellers as well as family! The room is rather small but the bathroom is adequately furnished with a excellent bath tub with full-force water pressure! The tub is best suited for mid-sized guests as it’s boxy and not full length! However a built-in seat inside more than meets our expectations! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap available are excellent branded Japanese products. Light brewed coffee is available at the small lobby at no charge and this is an excellent pick-me-up during this winter season as well as a hot beverage to keep oneself warm and reenergised! From 9:30pm till 11pm, they also offered room guests a free bowl of Yonaki soup soba as supper! Overall, an excellent money for value stay within Matsue city as well as a pit stop for nearby places of interests like Izumo-taisha shrine and the Adachi Museum!

Dormy Inn Express Matsue-Near JR Matsue
The location is really convenient. There is a bus stop located near the hotel and has buses stopping by every few minutes that go to JR Matsue. Possibly it's because it is an "Express"? The room and breakfast hall are smaller than the ones at Dormy Inn Izumo, so breakfast time can be quite packed. Staff are friendly, professional, and extremely helpful.

Nice hotel, within 4 blocks of train station. Arrived early so checked my bags before going site seeing. Check-in was quick and they had my bags in my room. Good size room with separate larger bathroom. Bathroom had raised seat for more comfort when soaking and TV so you could watch while soaking in tub. They have optional breakfast you can purchase but didn't try it.

Great hotel, very close to JR Matsue Station
Dormy Inn Express Matsue is 5mins (2-3 blocks) from JR Matsue Station, within walking distances to numerous restaurants and convenience stores. It was an easy check-in and check-out and they offer luggage storage after check out. The room is clean and spacious with basic amenities - A/C, TV/cable, WiFi, fridge, and desk, hair dryer, pajamas, and blackout drapes. The full-size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is compact with free bathroom toiletries: shampoo/conditioner/body wash, toothbrush, and shower cap. Breakfast was great with variety of choices from local Matsue and Japanese dishes to Western food. They also offered free noodles between 9-11pm!

Conveniently located a few minutes walk from the train station and walking distance from the town centres, castle and Samurai district. The bus station is next to the train station so convenient for using the buses, most notably for Yushien garden. Staff are very friendly and speak very good English.

This hotel is great for a single person. Free laundry machines great breakfast and the price for a single room is great. But for a elderly couple like us the double bed is little too small and a twin room charge is 3 times higher than a single. It would be nicer if they have more reasonable twin bed room.

Very close to the station, the hotel provides few items for "bath-in-the-room" such as lemons for fruit bath. Hotel also provide free coffee to take away! Very nice! Evening has noodles!

Nice hotel close to Matsue Station.
We had one of the larger rooms in the hotel on the 10th floor and even had a bit of a view of the lake from our window. We also had breakfast included and their breakfast is one of the best we have had in Japan...even from 5 star hotels.

A Great Find
This was probably the best hotel we stayed in while we were in Japan. The service was great. The hotel totally met our needs. The breakfast is wonderful. Very friendly, professional and helpful staff.
