"Celebrated my 5 year anniversary with hubby here and we miss it already. This is our second Excellence resort, our first one was in Cancun Mexico and we’re blown away with how amazing this one was as well!! We were torn with choosing Punta Cana or El Carmen but we’re so happy we chose PC. Our hotel room was very clean, comfortable, and it has a cool electronic feature to visually display DND or housekeeping request so that when staff pass by they can attend to you or give you privacy. AC was great, mini bar was always fully stocked. Food was really good, it’s worth it to be an Excellence Club member because nothing beat the club restaurant, Magna. Great breakfast and dinner!!! There’s also a cafe with lattes and dessert which is a huge plus. Pools were nice, we enjoyed the main one that had the swim up bar. They had beach and pool volleyball every day which was a lot of fun. The crowd at this resort was a good time. It’s so big that if you like quiet, you can get peace, privacy, and paradise. But if you want to get a little lit & fun, there’s some of that too :) the beach was so beautiful but i don’t swim in it so I can’t speak on that. Nothing beats the service we received though. All staff were amazing from the bartenders to servers, housekeepers, reception staff, entertainers, and so on. Although this is all inclusive, I encourage you to bring cash for tips. Resort has change and staff will go above and beyond when you take care of them too. Hospitality 101 ;) "

"El Leisy river es una Maravilla,el personal del buffet es especial un servicio de excelencia el supervisor Menquis especial esperemos q este en nuestro próximo viaje . El chef del japonés , Alis , Jon y Luis . También carina una vendedora super chistosa y especial . Lo recomiendo 100 % . Solo deben mejorar un poquito la musica poner mas musica Dominicana y q sea variada porque son solo chows de rock . Están muy buenos pero deben variar . El restaurante italiano y el restaurante de la carne muy buenos . En realidad SERVICIO DE EXCElENCIA . Y los cociceros todos 5 estrellas . Nosotros felices . Muy recomendado"

"Our first time in Dominican Republic and Riu did not disappoint. Their entertainment and activities throughout the day is very enjoyable. Staff are amazing and welcoming! Food is average, tho it seems to be the same most days its not bad at all. Pools and beach is one of the best we’ve had. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone specially if first timers not bad for a good price. :) "
