"I loved my stay at Hotel Balear. The hotel itself (decor and architecture, fixtures) reminded me in the best way of childhood experiences in European hotels in the 70s and 80s. Everything was clean, nice, well kept, and comfortable (I slept very well). The single room was large, with plenty of storage space if one were staying for a week or so. "Overall, I had a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel, especially for a relaxing beach holiday. The location has both pros and cons. It’s only a short walk from the beach (which is fantastic!) but the area is very touristy and can get quite crowded. "The property is in a gorgeous location-the ocean is a beautiful walk down a mountain path and while there is no beach there is a rope ladder to go swimming and places to place your things- it is a gorgeous place to swim and snorkel without too many people. If you have a disability I would not recommend doing this. You have to pull yourself up the ladder which can be tricky. The hotel is tranquil and feels more like a house than a hotel and the views are gorgeous. Not a lot of parking in town...
