Th resort itself was very impressive. Staff was very friendly, accommodating and so helpful. I would say pay attention to extra fees that the resort may hold on to, so you can plan for that, if needed. If you book through something like Expedia, call the resort ahead of time to make sure they are set with payments. There was some confusion with that as I was checking out. Other than that, highly recommend. I would definitely visit again!

This was a perfect family-friendly vacation spot! The kids loved the pool and the lagoon! The Family Oasis room was perfect for our family! A king sized bed for Mom and Dad and bunkbeds for the kids to have their own space. The room was clean and stocked with towels, toilet paper, and bathroom essentials. We enjoyed the sunset cruise and restaurants on site, but also loved being able to venture off the resort!

We had a fantastic stay at Hawks Cay, made even better by an unexpected upgrade to a villa. While the staff couldn't pinpoint exactly why the upgrade happened, it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. * The Villa Experience: Initially, I was concerned that staying in a villa would feel too disconnected from the main lagoon area. However, those worries disappeared the moment we arrived. Our unit was beachfront, offering incredible views and private wildlife sightings—we actually saw a ray jump and dolphins swimming by right behind our place. The villa itself was spotless and very well-maintained. * Amenities and Location: The resort’s location on Duck Key is perfect for exploring. It serves as an ideal middle ground, putting most major stops throughout the Middle and Lower Keys within a 30-minute drive. On-site, the lobby staff were incredibly welcoming, and the main resort amenities are top-notch. * Dining: The food options on-site were above average in quality. While the prices are a bit steep for what they are—as is typical for a resort—the convenience and flavor made it worth it for a few meals. * The One Downside: My only real complaint is the operating hours for the pools and hot tubs. They have a strict dusk closure policy (around 7:00 PM), which applies even to the 21 plus adult areas. Closing that early feels like a missed opportunity, as it cuts off the most relaxing and romantic part of the eve

Upon checking in we were placed in a room next the elevator and ice machine even though we requested to not be placed there. We upgraded for an additional cost. This caused a large billing error which upon calling the resort was resolved. Housekeeping was very inconsistent. Towels removed but not replaced. Coffee not replaced. One day no one showed up. Had to ask at desk for these things. Lacked paying attention to details such as no chairs outside sliding glass doors, bathtub had remnants of what was possibly a bath mat stuck to it, no place to hang towels or wet bathing suits besides one hook in bathroom, no lid on ice bucket ( was told they don’t have lids but other rooms did), bathroom door was impossible to close as it was a slider but did not have a bottom track or a deep enough indent to grab door so door just pushed out, bathroom door partially painted. One other thing was the parking. Most nights, we had to park in the third lot which is a construction lot. When an event is held, the attendees park in the same lots that the resort guests are paying to park in. On a positive note, Andrea at the reception desk was very helpful as well as Andre by the pool. They deserve a thank you. The outdoor area was beautiful and we had no problems getting a seat by the pool. Upgrades in the room were nice.

The view of the Atlantic was beautiful. The rooms did not get cleaned some days until very late and we had to ask for more coffee and cups, as well as towels the first night. All of the staff members that we interacted with were very friendly and courteous

We had a very good stay at the Hawks Cay villa we stayed in. The main pool, lagoon, Sunset Village pool, and fitness center were great. Our first night there, we stopped in Angler & Ale after a long day of travel. The service was SLOW and the food was likely bland Sysco basic options; nothing special. Our villa (Sunset Villas), was ok. The showers had mildewy curtains and translucent shower knobs that allowed for us to see through to lots of mildew. Also, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash didn't seem to get refilled before us. Mattresses could use replacing. But overall, it was ok. The unit needs more wall hooks; travelers need places to hang towels, toiletry bags, hangers, etc. We were pleasantly surprised to see that laundry was available in our villa, which we didn't know would be the case. 3 detergent packs were provided, which was nice. If staying in the villas, I'd recommend you stop at a grocery store to purchase your own: coffee grounds, dishwasher pods, kitchen sponge, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap. Maybe additional laundry detergent if you plan to do a lot of laundry. All in all, Hawks Cay is a great resort that allowed us to have the best of both the hotel and rental home experiences.

The gentleman at the adult pool was Andre was a very nice man as was the guy Kim who drove the cart . The drink prices were too expensive we finally went out and got our own drinks. 8-9 dollars for a beer is outrageous when you can buy your own for a dollar each. The property and views were great staff all very friendly. Also you pay a premium to stay there already then to be charged $25 a night to park is nuts. Also the surprise bill when you check out is a shocker for multiple taxes and resort fees is excessive when you’re already paying a premium. Parking hit and miss most nights we parked in the construction yard and had to walk for $25 a night😡

Overall a great resort. The WIFI in our condo was down for 2 days…not a big deal overall, but at a nice resort I would have expected them to fix it sooner. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff members were responsive and helpful, but unfortunately the overall experience at the village was very disappointing—especially for a stay of just two nights. The room had a strong humid smell, the sofa was worn out and dirty, and the kitchen was poorly equipped and not well supplied. The unit itself felt very old and outdated, and the window blinds were broken. Overall, the condition of the property did not meet expectations at all.

Resort was nice enough, but room was very cramped. Looked like a poor quality flip. Drawers were off set. Cabinets warped from water. Only one tiny shower for the villa. No countertop space in bathroom and no furniture in 2nd bedroom. Not adequate for a family for a week.

Our villa was not clean upon arrival at 10pm. We had to ask for new sheets, every bed had dirty sheets. The main bathroom mirror was dirty from the prior people brushing their teeth, there was a dirty dried wash cloth hanging over the shower rod, the sink was also dirty in the master bath. We used the pull out couch and it was covered with crumbs and dirt. I’ve never been so disgusted with a rental. The fact we paid the amount we did only to be told that they couldn’t do anything is ridiculous. We will not be back.

The resort itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with great amenities and a relaxing atmosphere—but unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by ongoing service issues. Housekeeping appeared to be severely understaffed. Over the course of several days, our room was not serviced despite repeated requests. Each time we reached out, we were assured that our room would be prioritized, but that never actually happened. It became frustrating having to continually follow up without seeing any results. In addition, we had a broken bathroom door that went unrepaired for most of our stay. We reported it early on, but it wasn’t addressed until the final night, which made it more of an inconvenience than something that was ever truly resolved. It wasn’t until we considered checking out early that we were finally able to speak with a manager. To his credit, he was professional, transparent, and genuinely apologetic. He acknowledged the issues and did what he could to make things right—but by that point, it was our last night, so the impact was limited. Overall, while the property itself is very nice, the lack of consistent housekeeping and delayed maintenance response detracted from our experience. By the end of the stay, we were honestly ready to leave.

Splash pad was under construction. Spent time mainly at the main pool with the little one. Our villa was recently renovated and was clean and homey. We lucked out and had a screen in porch which was great.

Avoid Angler and Ale restaurant, the food is terrible and the service also terrible, we wait one hour and 20 minutes for our drinks and 2 hours for our food. We had to return most of the dishes because of the terrible taste and presentation. AVOID eating at this place at any cost. Overall the hotel is great and the villas are very nice and comfortable.

They dont strive to serve. Our room had a sliding bathroom door that did not lock or remain closed. It took them 3 days to fix it. The last day, the entire floor smelled fish. They sprayed copious amounts of air freshener but it didnt help. Overall, its a nice place with great views and amenities but it doesnt justify the price tag. I'm sure a few years ago it did, but generally you just get the feeling that no one is trying to deliver a great guest experience.
