「Our stay at Burnhopeside Hall was one of our most memorable ever. Christine, our hostess, was delightful and helpful. The room was spacious and the surroundings could not have been more grand. This is a stately old home, full of beautiful furniture and dishes, near sheep pastures and the river. 「The manager Anna couldn’t have been nicer. She greeted us with a cup of tea and biscuits and allowed us to check-in early and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the city. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and included on-site free parking. Location just a short walk into the centre. Breakfast also very good with lots of options. 」

We upgraded to King size bed, patio doors to outside decked veranda. Fabulous in the warm weather. Next door to the pub and restaurant. Excellent food, good menu both evening meal and breakfast. Couples only at the moment. Well worth it. Would definitely stay again. 」

「Excellent stay here. We asked for a quiet room, away from the elevator as we were bringing our dog. Our room was perfectly located at the end of the corridor. Room was quiet, spacious, clean and bright as we had windows on both walls due to it being a river view. Bed was massive and very comfortable. We also had a free mini bar full with fizzy juice/water which was a nice addition. Breakfast was amazing - fry up goods, fruit, pastries. Perfect location - could walk to the main part of the city...
