Beautiful view of the islands and Canada from the second story quite wide deck.
Awesome place! Renovated sardine processing plant. Historic but totally redone. Only thing - no television, phone, or coffee maker in rooms! But what a view of the bay from your room. A common area for gathering with a full kitchen area, and coffee. Wonderful restaurant in hotel.
A beautiful historic Inn located in a charming town. The room and the staff were wonderful and the view was incredible. I would absolutely visit again.
This sweet little room was perfect for our first night in Maine. We were traveling off season, so the restaurant was closed. It was difficult to find food in Lubec so we ended up getting something at the grocery store. (We drove around the entire village and can imagine what it must be like when in season. It is an adorable area.) But that is not the fault of this property. The location had a great view of the water and was very close to the bridge to New Brunswick, which is what we wanted. Communication with the staff was via text and was adequate. Streaming on the TV was appreciated. Thanks!
Awesome room with an amazing view of the Bay of Fundy! Not soundproof, like it says in the listing, but it wasn't too much of an issue. We had a lower floor room (Rum Runner) The only problem was the shower wasn't draining as you shower, it drained eventually. Comfy beds and nice water pressure in shower. Our room had a TV with plenty of channels. The porch overlooking the waterfront really made the experience wonderful~every picture you took looked like a postcard. The town of Lubec is so charming~cute coffee places, gift shops, and post office. Not too far to cross the bridge over to New Brunswick to Campobello Island. Bring your passport! Stop at Monica's for chocolate on your way there~
We had a second floor room right on the water front. The room had a balcony with sliding door. The room smelled slightly of smoke when we arrived as I think the previous occupants were probably smoking on the balcony and the smell was residual. There were not any amenities in the room but a common area with kitchen which was nice and area to play games, sit and lounge.
A negative was that the staff were permitted to smoke out front and you had to go by them to go to check-in, your room and dining.
We liked our room, particularly the view outside our balcony! We were disappointed with the lack of a TV (we didn't care to look at the water 10 hours a day or at night). I understand this is a bone of contention with the owner. The food was all quite good, particularly the "grilled" orange cranberry muffin!
Paper thin walls. We stayed 2 nights and the first night could here people loudly. Swearing like they were in our room. That went on until they went to sleep. Then the next night same thing just other side. No tub as i had believed.
Right on water, great view of bay, lighthouses, ships, birds, real down east experience, just loved watching sunset from my porch, great food. oozing charm
Unique coastal Maine experience. No tv but a great private view of the Quaddy narrows. Very nice restaurant/ bar on the premises , had a fresh lobster lobster dinner with local beer from Lubec brewing co.
Small inn right on the ocean. Wonderful view from a perfectly adequate room. Restaurant often crowded but the overworked staff did a fine job of managing the flow -- and great food. Access to common room with a refrigerator, sink, dishwasher and stove.
It use to be a sardine factory! I loved it! Great location. A kitchen area for all guests to enjoy.
No TV in the room! I thought this was great!

Disliked: Room comfort
Unfortunately disappointing
Literally the worst bed I've ever TRIED to sleep on. The room also had a loud old mini-fridge. Views are great, but it's hard to appreciate them when you're exhausted.
The hotel is a converted fish cannery and is pretty unique. The rooms have a view of the water that is wonderful. The rooms are clean and all on one floor. We did not have a tv in our room (couldn't watch the sports we wanted) but the lady who checked us in found a tv and brought it to our room.
This room was the icing on the cake for our tour around Northern and Eastern Maine. Love being right on the water and the accommodations were spectacular.

Views are picture perfect. Nice restaurant on property and easy walk to downtown. Rooms are just ok. What they call a suite is really a standard hotel room. No frills. However it was clean and staff friendly.
Checking in was a hassle. Once we got our room which was called “Tides” at the end of the hall we were RIGHT next to the kitchen. Which is connected to the property. OMG the noise from the kitchen was from 6:00 am to sometimes 10:00 pm. No curtains just a shade that lets in tons of light but not good for sleeping. If you want to get up at 6:00 then no problem. Our room was right next to the restaurant. Lots of noise. The walls were thin and you can hear every sound from the room next door. I didn’t sleep the whole time during our 2 night stay. Their was also no WI-FI that was provided. They have an unsecured connection. For the price you pay you would figure they would provide a secure Wi-Fi connection. Very, very noisy. It needs a facelift inside. Very disappointed. The restaurant food was excellent.
