"Stayed the first week of June. Rooms were nice but property felt very dated. Not a lot of beaches in Key West so was excited to find a property with a man made one. Unfortunately there was a ton of seaweed and it was essentially not usable. The pool was small and underwhelming. Food and drink on the property was outrageously expensive. $28 for a GLASS of mediocre white win. Nuts. The concierge was basically unwilling or unable to give us basic suggestions for local restaurants. The valets were great as was front desk staff. Overall a good property and good location, the place just really needs a facelift and more reasonable prices in the restaurant."

"Our stay had some positives, but overall there were several disappointing aspects that impacted our experience.The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was generally friendly. The WiFi never worked in our room, which made it difficult to check in with our planned excursions and stay connected during our trip. A staff member reached out and assured us they were working on the issue, but unfortunately nothing was ever resolved.We were also surprised by the additional costs. The resort fees seemed excessive, and the $50-per-day parking charge felt especially high. One of the more concerning incidents occurred while we were enjoying drinks at the pool bar. I stepped on a piece of glass and punctured my heel badly enough that it bled significantly. The bartender told us our drinks would be comped because of the incident, but when the bill arrived, they were not. A manager did check to see if I was okay, but no medical supplies or assistance were offered. Another area where the resort could be more transparent is regarding the beach access. The public beach was completely covered with sargassum to the point that reaching the water was nearly impossible. The so-called private beach was simply a narrow strip of sand at the edge of the resort with no actual water access. While the clean rooms and courteous staff were appreciated, the unresolved WiFi issues, high fees, handling of the pool-bar incident, and misleading beach expectations left us disappointed overall."

"The room was clean and the place was quiet, which is good. The air conditioning was really good cause you can put it to a temperature that is right for you. The breakfast was also good. We had a terrible amount of rain fall on our last night and it was scarry but the staff came to our room to assure us that everything was okay and it was. The front desk staff and concierge were very helpful."

"This is not your five-star resort. It is clean, cute, and more than fine for a stay. We chose this property due to the location. We weren't in Key West for the typical Key West stuff. I wanted to be close to the port for the Dry Tortugas ferry. The resort is a bit outdated, but well maintained. The rooms are layers of paint and bathrooms are older colors, so it doesn't look great, but it is very clean. The bathroom was very small but served its purpose just fine. I really did like the water view, hammock and small private patio. There aren't many places with these things. Now the water, it is on the water but I wouldn't have swum in it. Still, it was nice to sit and have coffee in the morning and watch the many birds. I did love that we could book activities and rent a golf cart on site! The restaurant has great drinks but a limited menu. Breakfast, don't go looking for anything great. That was the least liked part. Very limited continental breakfast. Waffles were from the freezer, you can tell. No breakfast meats or eggs. Just fruits, yogurts, cereal and waffles. Also, if you want coffee early in the am, you should plan ahead. We walked to the gas station as we needed to leave at 6am and there was no coffee yet. Grounds aren't a gorgeous resort, but just fine for the in and out that we were. I would say, don't go with high expectations but enjoy what it offers and the uniqueness!"
