The hotel itself was in fairly good condition. The woman at the front desk and the bartender Kenny were great. A cleaning lady walked in my room uninvited, luckily I wasn't indisposed. Would've been 4 star if not for that incident.Very uncomfortable situation.

The second I got checked in and got to my room I had to walk back to the front desk to get my room keys reactivated because the keys weren’t working and that problem continued my whole stay. I had get my keys reactivated every single day and at one point got locked out of my room for over an hour because their door was faulty. I also was told that there was a $100 deposit incase of damage to the room which was fine but I was told it would take 3-5 days to get my money back after my stay and it has been a week and I still have not got my deposit back. I called the office and the lady that answered the phone was giving no help and was acting very unprofessional. I asked to speak to her manager and she refused, I asked for her name and she said “bob” and refused to be of any accommodation. The hotel is also portrayed to be some super nice upscale place but it’s NOT which is not a problem to me because I’ve stayed in worse but it’s just the fact that I was super shocked to see how ran down it actually is compared to the photos they post.

It was promising at first, it looked pretty when we first walked in. But as soon as we got upstairs to our room it smelled like cigarettes. The pillows were all stained with what looked like mascara, there was a shattered light bulb in our bedside lamp, there were mold on the windows, and the elevator was covered in graffiti. We also noticed water LEAKING FROM THE CEILING into the pool. Very unsanitary. My husband woke up at 1:00am to an alarm from outside our window saying “You are trespassing on private property. Your actions are being recorded.” This happened twice, actually. Then at about 9:30am someone, we presume worked for housekeeping, used a key to try to enter our room while we were trying to sleep. They did not knock, they did not try to announce that they were trying to come in. They used their key and tried to enter the room we were sleeping in. Thank goodness we utilized both locks on the door, because that was what kept them from coming in. We were scared to death. The final nail in the coffin was that we were told when we checked in that breakfast was served from 7:00am to 11:00am, but when we went to check out at 10:45 there was no breakfast in sight. It had all been put away. You couldn’t pay me to stay at this hotel again. Don’t come here unless you have no other options.

The curtains had stains, and they did not close all the way. The shower had not been cleaned after the previous guest because there was a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo in the shower.

Friendly staff. Great amenities. Easy access from Louisville via 2nd Street bridge. Nice clean rooms with plenty of pillows for maximum comfort. Even though I didn’t use the pool it is a nice size pool with plenty of room to just sit and relax.

Staff was friendly but they had a hard time with my payment because they not only set aside the money but they charged my account and kept denying that they did. I found out the lady who checked me in is actually housekeeping staff and was not trained properly. Room was great and had an amazing view but on the coldest day of the year I slept with my window open because even though the thermostat said it was 62 I was sweating to death because of how hot the room was. There is no microwave in the room but they have one in the lobby which is several hallways from any of the rooms. I know I walked 5 hallways to get from my room to the lobby which was in the same floor as my room. The toilet paper holder was falling off in my room. I did not feel safe there except in my room. Also there is no bellhop so you are carrying your own stuff to and from your room and if you are handicap you should know that the handicap door was not working and for the few days I was there they never got anyone in to fix it or even look at it. I also almost fell getting into the shower. Not only are the tubs old jacuzzi type tubs that have the holes covered, but because they are that type you have to step higher to get in and out. The only bar also came loose in my hand so I almost fell in the shower. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. It's old and run down.ADA you need to check this place out.
