Had a wonderful time in Long Beach. Only thing that bothered me was kids tapping on my window at night. Plus the room was little musty smelling. Other then that everything was nice.

Staff was very friendly. Room was okay. The room had a damp feeling and smell, and carpet felt damp too, owner said it was due to humidity, but other places we have stayed on the peninsula didnt have this issue. I did love the retro fridge, mircowace, and alarm clock.

Love Mermaid Inn!
Mermaid Inn is fabulous. Our room was charming and immaculate. My husband and I enthusiastically recommend booking a visit here during a visit to beautiful Long Island.

This was a wonderful property! Everything was clean and uniquely fabulous! Each room has a wonderful little patio, really beautiful community space! The room was small, and contained everything needed for a great stay. You would need to drive to go into Long Beach town - It's about a mile or so down the road. There is a cute little bar and grill right next door, as well as a Mexican restaurant. The bar and grill was great! I will stay here again without hesitation!

Perfect choice for an impromptu beach getaway
This was our 2nd stay at the Mermaid Inn. It's perfect for our travel style, having enough amenities in a convenient location at a good price. The landscaping and outside gathering area around the grill are bonuses, as is the friendly house dog. If I was to nit-pick, it would be to wish they would ditch the single use bathroom toiletries in favor of bulk dispensers for soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion to be more eco-friendly.

Hello! The owners/staff are consistently friendly and helpful. This is my 2nd stay in recent months/years and the rooms are quiet with comfortable beds, peaceful with low foot traffic as downtown Longbeach us a couple miles away. I've been happy with my stays here. Thank you!

Cute property, comfortable room. Not walkable to the main part of town (it's kind of a long walk but would be doable) but is a block from a street that runs down to the beach (dunes and the paved trail). Owner had good suggestions for places to eat and brochures for the area. Best thing was a non-Keurig coffee pot (less plastic waste & better coffee!). I was there a rainy weekend the end of October, so not crowded, very quiet. Nice sized refrigerator/freezer, loved the retro aqua look. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Stay at The Mermaid Inn
This motel is operated by a couple that are a rare treat! I booked a room in the Mermaid Inn on very short notice, arrived late (after 11 PM) and I was greeted with kindness and understanding! The rooms themselves are a bit unorthodox in their layout, but in a good way. The beds were very comfortable, the decor was entertaining and contextually appropriate to the locale. The equipment such as the refrigerator, microwave, and even the brand new fans, were themed! The property itself is located in a perfect location. It's just outside of the main traffic area and next to both food and a convenience station. It's within walking distance from the Cranberry Museum and the hosts use plants for both aesthetics as well as functional reasons. For example, if the mosquito's flare up they have natural citronella plants which will provide a nice little shield within the complex. The point is, this is a great little place to just sleep, or while away the morning with a cup of coffee in front of your room at your little personal bistro. I strongly recommend The Mermaid Inn

Bill and his employees are very kind. The property was clean and a great place to stay. However, when you first drive up the area around the mobile home is less then great. But the staff and cleanliness for the facility made up for it. Kids loved it.

We stay at the Mermaid Inn every year during my family reunion. Karla is great! Its a nice clean room. At night its a little bright in the room from the outside lights. It might be nice if there were room darkening curtain. But otherwise a nice place to stay. We will stay again next year.
