「Petronio and his staff were absolutely wonderful! So kind, super accommodating and helpful. The rooms were very unique, and the view overlooking the town and across to the volcano was just stunning. Breakfast was delivered to our door each morning in a little basket, and the staff booked us cabs when we were ready to go into town. Although with the breeze, the birdsong, the clouds, and the volcano, I could have stayed put for the entire trip!」

「Bettina and Darwin are the most hospitable hosts imaginable. There are only 2 rooms, so you immediately feel one of the family. My room was divine, colourful and comfortable. Breakfast with a breathtaking view over Banos, under the supervision of their two llamas grazing nearby. It’s worth coming to Banos just to stay here. Only caution- the road is very steep. 「It's a hostel, not a hotel, so if your expectations are set appropriately, this is a superb find. A bit out of town - 15 mins walk downhill into town and a $1.50 taxi ride home - but nestled at the foot of the mountains. So much nicer than the hundreds of hostels surrounded by karaoke bars near the bus station in town. Run by the nicest, most obliging family. A fabulous breakfast included. Recommended most highly.」

The pool and spa was the highlight. It was just breathtaking how beautiful it was! Our room was very clean and comfortable. We dined at the hotel both nights that we were there and we had great meals. The view from the restaurant was phenomenal. The staff was fantastic and attentive. I highly recommend Samari resort! 」
