As someone who visits Las Vegas frequently, I have a few go-to hotels I usually stay at. This time, I chose Westgate because of its close proximity to the Convention Center. Unfortunately, the convenience of location didn’t make up for the disappointing experience.
I arrived around 11:40 PM after a long drive, well past the standard check-in time of 4 PM. Despite the late hour, I had to stand in line for nearly 45 minutes just to check in. After finally receiving my room key, I headed to my floor only to be met with poor signage and confusing directions—I ended up wandering in circles trying to find my room.
Once inside, I noticed dark spots on the bed sheets, which didn’t appear properly cleaned. At nearly 1 AM, I was too exhausted to complain and just needed to rest before my early event the next day.
The next disappointment came when I returned at 5 PM after a full day out: the room hadn’t been cleaned, the towels hadn’t been replaced, and the bed remained untouched. Housekeeping had completely skipped my room.
The bathroom didn’t help redeem the experience. The shower head was oddly low—at about nose height—forcing me to crouch to shower. The air vent in the bathroom was dirty, and I found remnants like old tags in the drawers that should have been cleaned out.
Overall, the condition of the room, lack of cleanliness, and subpar service left me highly dissatisfied. While the location is great for Convention Center access, that’s about the only positive I can offer.
